Ej6 civic coupe facelift
Wanting a dual bend short shifter for my ej6 and thought what better part to get than an OEM Honda part, so I hit up a good friend of mine and bought a dual bend OEM EK9 shifter off of him. I had previous sources online tell me that it’s a direct fit and I thought it would be but I found out it wasn’t.

Upon inspection it was significantly bigger to fit directly with a 10mm difference at the bottom when the shifter rod bolts into the linkage with the OEM Ej6 one being 30.5mm and the OEM EK9 one being 40.5mm. Since the ek9 shifter was slightly offset at the bottom, if I lined both up I thought I could cut it down and thought it would work (spoiler- it did). So I hit up my neighbour who has a grinder (shoutout him) and we cut it to around 31mm and fitted it!

The feel is MUCH more directional, goes into gear easier and has a much shorter throw while looking the part too. I’d show complete pictures of the car assembled but university is pinching my time and I’ve only driven it without a centre console yet.

My friend with the EK9 is the one who told me to post it on here! I’m unsure whether he wants to be named so I’ll leave that decision to him!
