I know the EK9 prices are already on rise but with this surely they have jumped up more in uk market?

Truly incredible price, especially for a factory car.
@B18C'R EK your Vi-RS must be worth a fair few bob now ;)

Been hounding my mate to straight swap the civic for his 911 GT3 for the last few years. He’ll be kicking himself soon ;)

I wonder which country the person lives in who bought this
If I have to guess, I would say that the new owner is from Malaysia or the states.
Just wait for the guys from the USA to be able to legally import the EK9's...

Yeah, this will pretty much price out the average lad/lass from being able to afford an imported one.

Truth to be told, this car is an exception due to it's low mileage. Most average lads don't look for collector items or museum cars, so they won't be interested in this type of examples anyways. But this auction clearly shows that these cars are more valuable now and there are people that are ready to pay big money for them.

Only the very best examples in UK will steadily increase in value. No one here will pay big money though. .. global markets will most likely carry on buying from Japan rather than ones that have been exposed to our salty roads.

People still pay good money for good ones, i sold 3 in last 3 months, 2 at 11k each an one at 10k

i have 4 more that will be going for sale soon

exactly, but i can only enjoy em now an then as i get very limited time haha

This won't be going to the states, it is a year 2000 model meaning the buyer would be paying storage for another five years before it potentially could be shipped.

Most likely that will be staying Japan for a collector to store it. Slim chance it's for export.

We were also inspecting this model for one of our customers, but the price got high - fast - so we stopped bidding.

Especially for a factory car? Surely you meant "because" it's a factory car. Collectors (and this was bought by one, without any doubt) don't want anything that's been modified.
