So I called up my insurer to get two wee chips on my windscreen repaired but from the looks of things they might have to replace the whole glass as the chips are too close together for the suction thing to be used or it will crack the glass.

Do you think they will use OEM honda glass or some generic crap? Tried to phone back but was on hold for ages so gave up. Probably give them a try again later, but it's booked in for next weekend.

Aftermarket most likely, I think oem ek9 screens are special order from Japan,

I may have a genuine OEM screen for sale soon.
Brand new,

PM if interested

The windscreen they will replace will be some cheap thing . And the rubber is diff to oem mine came off when I was racing

You have to request a honda item is used mate, fella here had a cracked screen on his dc5 and had to pay the extra to used the oem item

Also IIRC the EK9 windscreen is supposed to be thinner than normal EK windscreen?

I was in this boat, don't worry about it... Is it transparent? Yes? It fits the bill then!

Yeah, EK9 windscreens are supposedly lighter and thinner. I was just gonna go for a UK windscreen anyway so not too fussed but as long as it was OEM.

ijwhiteman, I hope you're right haha :) just waiting for the guy to show up just now. I'll need to get a new sunstrip etc if replaced :\

Same I lost my Spoon sunstrip :(

The ek9 screens are different.
They also have a different tint.

Depends how original you want to keep the car
I guess.

Screens from honda list at just under £400 now
