I am trying to connect ECU cables to my engine, and have a few questins for you people. All cables are cut, so I have ecu separated, and have no installation. I can not buy one, becouse of shippment. They don't do shipping to my place. So I have to make the engine installation. I do not need nothing beside my engine runing.

Do I need green connector that goes beside ECU i what is it for?

@RVM - pictures of your ecu:
http://www.ek9.org/forum/showthread.php?t=189
are really helpfull to me. Can you please take picture or two for me where I can see colors of the wires from those connectors. Seems that pin layout in the user manual is not corresponding to real setup.

Example, from the picture of your ecu, there is a blue - C - connector which I don't have (but I will make one hopefully). On this connector there is C8 pin -blue wire - CKPP senzor, C9 - white wire - CKPM senzor and shold be C10 - Vtec pressure switch pin. But I can not see it on the picture!

Is there any picture of the connector wires thay you have and you did not post?

Thanks!

hello, i think the green connector you see, is the diagnostics port, i'm not 100 % sure, i will let you know later.

you want some pictures of the blue connector?

Lets do something, i will take good quality pictures of all the connectors so you can see the colors and everything, let me know if this will help!

keep in mind my ecu is a obd2b

wow, sorry to hear they wont ship to you, where are you located? maybe one of the guys on the board could help you out in tracking down a harness?

@RVM - thank you very much for those pictures you will take.

@blinx9900 - Well I am lucky HAsport mounts are here. I am in Bosnia, Sarajevo - thats is oposite of Italy near Croatia.
I would be grateful if it is possible to find engine installation.

RVM watch out dude you got a stalker :p

"Just kidding" :nice:

I am very gratefull! :) , and it is rare that someone can help in this way, so much.
I was stuck with electronic, could not find it anywhere, now I can continue working on it!

:nice:

yay, people helping each other makes blinx happy :) , bosniacrx, are you putting all this in a crx?

Yes, I have CRX ED9 with D16Z5 DOHC from 1991.

Took B16B from 1999, with axles and ECU, but there was no engine wire harness. I found one on the ebay, but they dont ship here. I don't know whay, buyer always pays the shippment anyway.

I have already changed suspension, mounts, cut the front bridge, clear and the rust and painted the engine bay... Tomorrow I will try to put the engine and then I will try to connect wires.

RVM saved me from using traditional method:

10 Guess
20 Try
30 change the fuze
40 goto 10

:nice:

So we tried to lower engine into engine bay. With a little cut work, and found 2 unsolved things.

Rear HAsport mount does not touch the transmission housing at all. It is 15cm from the block. The left HAsport mount goes to engine bracket but it turns the engine for few degrees. I called HAsport. They told me to buy 1991-1993 Integras stock brackets for the rear and left mounts. One is 75$ and the other is 85$, shippment to Bosnia is 55$ with USPS.com, but they are sorry they don't shipp to Bosnia. :angry2: :angry2: :angry2:

that sucks man, what are you going to do?

I called Andy from the ForeverJDM company on the ebay, and called Joe from HAsport. Those are two very good guys ( I AM not STALKER :) ).

So, Joe will send the brackets to Andy (both are in USA), Andy will send the brackets to me. I will sell my old engine to a guy in Croatia called Alen. Have to go to town of BIHAC which is on the border with Croatia. Have to drive 624 kilometers, my 87 CRX with ZC1 engine hehehe :nice: and that's the way I will pay this game. Do not want to mention :angry2: phone :angry2: expences :angry2: :nerv:

bosniacrx, i admire your dedication keep up the good work, and if you need help let us know :)

Hey didnt i get some parts from you recently to Scotland and so did my friend for his prelude, i think it was you anyways, and i know you aint a stalker im just messing with you :D

@spoonCTR - thanks man! You are also wellcome for anything I can do for you guys. :thanks:

@Neo - I only sold front bumber mold, nothing else, maybe you got it from ForeverJDM? yea stalker is a joke ofcourse! :nice:

That green connector you were asking about in your original posting connects some of the body/dash wiring to the ecu.

bosniacrx how is your project going? hope all is well! i know it gets crazy sometimes we all know how you feel hang in there mate :nice:

Thanks for replaying and for not forgetting me.
I was working a lot lot lot. Have finished my friend's front bumper. He painted it, and it's now attached. A little too agressive look for my taste, but he wanted just like this.

In the mean time I was looking for sponsors. Liqui-MOLY helped me again, they even gave me a watch.

We have been to Belgrade. I was shocked by some cars and look of some girls.

I also got AVON zzR tyres. :)

I put all cables in the crx. So there are two seperate instalations runing side by side. There is a guy in Quibec (FRANK) that helps me and I hope he will explane how to finish this, but ofcourse if anyone else can explane me how to reconect b16b engine wiring to the crx main harness, i will be grateful, or I will just go wire by wire this weekend.

I hope you guys are ok, and enyoing your EK9. Mine is half EK9 :) though.
