Hey people, im pretty new to this so not sure if im posting in the correct place.
Ive searched for a while trying to find a thread already on this subject but i cannot find anything specific.

I recently installed a 4-2-1 manifold on my little D14 Engine as my old manifold cracked at the connector point to the cat. Anyway installed it fine, everything seamed ok.

Started her up went for a drive not noticing at first that my engine light had came on, bearing in mind i had installed the Lambda sensor in the manifold correctly. Although i did notice the 'Hole' for the lambda sensor on my new manifold is only being fed by 1 exhaust chambers gasses? Not all 4 exhaust chambers as my original manifold. Is this correct? / why has my engine light come on?

Please help :)

Is it still on when you have driven a bit? Have you had the car turned off and on again? Maybe it can be some "fake" air just after install

Or maybe the mixture is wrong in that cylinder where the O2 sensor reads in the exhaust

Hi Hondactr,

I cannot get the engine light to go off by driving it.

I have extended the cable on the lamdba sensor, and im going to install it on the lower down pipe tomorrow, where it will get a feed from all the exhaust chambers.

With a bit of luck this will resolve the issue. if not possible faulty sensor? :/

Have you knocked the senser on anything they are delicate

After moving the front Lambda sensor to the downpipe, it seams happier so to speak lol, No engine management lights. For the front sensor anyway.

Now i have another problem. I just installed a decat today :)), after looking around people advise to ground the Cat temp sensor* (is this the actual name?) , After trying to ground the sensor on the Grey cable "Ground cable" the light still came on.

For the time being i have plugged the sensor back in, and cable tied it to the bottom of my car, the check engine light isnt coming on but this has to be a temporary fix.

Does anyone know how to properly eliminate the Cats temp sensor* check engine light issue? (I.e. Disable the sensor somehow?)

Any help would be appreciated :p
