Right this isn't the usual - what mounts should I buy thread.

A long while ago - maybe around 2 years I was doing my usual browsing through US Honda tech and also JDM Civic website as I love Reading thru the teardowns and build ups!

There was a guy who bought engine mounts which he called an upgrade from hasports and I was stunned as I thought hasports were the biz and the be all and end all sorta thing!

My question is does anyone know what these might be now they are quite distinct from the description as they sorta almost look like hasports but they (from my dodgy memory) had a flat sorta paint finish and they were purply blue and looked insane!

I did at one point have the picture saved on an old pc but I don't know how many times I lost pics and vids cos of viruses and all that !

Oh and for the record I'm not going daft ! My mate remembers them too but also cannot remember !

The only company that I know of that claim their mounts are better than Hasports are Innovative

The mounts are almost identical but the poly bushes on them are tapered so the bushes don't bind under the loading of the engine thus being slightly more efficient

Although to be honest, really not much between them, I can only imagine that the colour on them was custom as i've only seen these mounts supplied with the billet in silver or black, but have seen some custom efforts before

Cheers for that Steven (didnt notice anyone had replied !) - Maybe it was just custom painted ones.

That info has thrown me as i would always have looked at Hasports over Innovative but now i'm not sure, I mean innovative cost less also. Then again i'd love to see Hasport mounts in the bay for the Branding.

Well its a mod i never done on my last Civic, Just a torque damper and its defo something i'll be changing next time !

Also - when you use these mounts - do you need to run the factory torque mounts?

In most cases no as there stiff mounts so keeping the stock torque mounts doesn't have any advantage hence most people remove them.

Thanks for the Info ! Will also be a minor weight reduction removing them and the mounting points from tranny and engine

Fitted the innovative 60a billet mounts on mine mate!

WHAT a difference definately a consideration!!

Whats the vibrations like? I was thinking of the 75's

Oh and i've heard a wee story about you murphy lol

Vibrations are fine on the 60's mate!! 75's would be good but alot id guess.. think steven runs the 75's!!

Whats the story from the gow ha???

I run the 75's yeah, they are hardcore

Wouldn't bother witht he 75's unless you are

-tracking the car
-don't care about some mad vibrations

i thougt you had them mate!

The ones i have dont get me wrong there are vibrations, just the usuall rear view mirror and slight dash rattle:)

should we see if we can get a group buy? and what kind of price HAmotorsport can do?

yeah ive a mate with inno mounts and he says there preeeeeetty good :)

I have Innovative mounts on mine, steering wheel vibrates a little on start-up but nothing bad. Definitly are a great job!

I only went for the 60A ones :)
