Wat's up mates? I recently built my engine on my Ek9 and put a turbo charge. Since then I feel a lot of vibration coming from the engine bay. I notice the down pipe is close to the oil pan,but not touching it.That cold be the problem? also I feel it in the shifter. Not always. In 4000rpm the engine is smooth. Also like in 100km the steering wheel shake up and down NOT SIDEWAYS. I check the balance of my tire and check the rotor too. They are ok. So what do you people think it could be.:angry2:

Get yourself some stiffer engine mounts or bushes and get a engine damper. That should stop any vibration coming through into the car

Quite the opposite...
Stiffer mounts will transfer more vibration for sure!

That's what I've been told..?

Ohwell lol deffo an engine damper

engine dampeners are a waste of time, the vibration he is getting is probably the downpipe hitting off the sump or gear linkages.

I've got the engine mount insert's in my car, made it vibrate loads more. I dont mind it, and the car feels so much better to drive.

I have the shifter bushing and the insert mount for almost 5 years now. i know that vibration. But trust me this is a different vibration. I will check the clearance in the oil pan in the shop this weekend. Its a BlackWorks down pipe I dont think that will be the problem.. but hey you never know. What about the shake from the steering wheel @ 100 to 120km?

Could be a driveshaft on its way out. That can cause vibration through steering wheel. What power u running?

when you built it did you take the subframe off? Could well be the rear engine mount has worked itself loose, and under enough force is causing thr engine to rock backwards and forwards

I would check subframe bolts while your there aswell

hope you get it sorted.

I'm running 468hp @17 psi. and never remove the subframe. It do sent fill like engine mount lose. Is just a vibration at 3000 to 4000 rpm. Is like running the transmission with out fluid.

No, But I adjust the front shock to from soft to stiff and the steering wheel vibration is less. That's good. Now I have to check the chassis one.

turbo setup will not have any effect on vibration, check your engine and tq mounts, may need replacing.
