My brother had some meister r zeta r delivered today for his ep3, so naturally we played lol

I've noticed that the camber is massively limited by the length of the inner tie rods. The toe in goes crazy with even minor changes to camber. Haven't had it on an alignment machine yet but was hoping we could get atleast 2.5deg out of it at a sensible ride hight.

ATM we are probably about a fingers width from the arch on the front and the camber plates are bang in the middle of the adjustment range. That's used the whole toe adjustment on his car.

So my question. Would going lower give us more room for camber? So effectively toeing out as it lowers? Or is it the other way round?
I've searched the interweb but just a lot of contradictions.

Also tempted to make my own range of tie rods for these to sell to the track ep3 guys.

your limited with ep3 suspension design (tie rod issue), check ep forums and will make more sense

you can buy aftermarket tie rods, couple companies sell them but cant remember who that allow lot more adjustment

some people make their own that have access to equipment required

Had a few night mares aligning ep3 myself. It seems you can either only lowered them a little or lower them a load. As you say once you go past a certain point the tie rod angle moves to pull toe back out.

Camber neededs to be added at the hub with camber bolts. Top mount camber adjustment us useless on the strut setup as it throws the toe a mile out.

Took me ages to explain this to customer when I tell them I have to reset their ride height to be able to even get it straight some times. Have actually lost customers in the past as they don't understand and think I'm trying to just rip them off for more money on the alignment.

I actually thought the coilovers had the arm mounted wrong for a whole I couldn't believe how much the camber threw it out lol

adjusted camber on mine at hubs, the eibach adjustable camber bolts also don't work with my coilovers but you can just adjust camber with oem bolts which is what was done on mine.

just need to fit new rack riser I bought months ago and get corner weighted

I really don't like ep3 chassis and handling and pumped all my money into that rather than performance so far to get it little bit better
