Hi all my name is chris i was just wanting some advise on a exhaust system and what would you suggest. So i have a high comp b16A engine going in soon with ek9 .5 bigger pistons ek9 cams .5 skimmed head ect ect but basically im aiming for around 190 to 200bhp so i just wanted to know whats best for my setup as i had a buddy club spec 2 which i believe is 2.75 and im now running a HKS hi power exhaust and it is a 2.25 and it feel like its strangling the car a little compared to then buddy club so i thought id ask you to see what you think is the best for my setup or even a true 2.5 custom system, thanks for reading, chris.

The Spec II is actually 60mm ID........ 2.37inches

I reckon it's one of the best catbacks out there........

You mean Loudest? lol.

Fujitsubo RM01A are a good system. Im also a fan of the Skunk2 Megapower and Tanabe systems, just for the noise.

Ya,and it is the loudest!! Sounds like it was designed by Satan himself! So badass its now illegal in quite a few countries! It is an out and out motorsprt piece though........

Haha yeh it's deffinitly loud alright!! That's the only problem is its so loud other wise I'd run it, ive seen some people say that it doesn't make good figures but I've personally had good experience with it, I may still invest in a custom 2.5"system from solid fabrications and have the style the same as the hks hi power I have now. Or I was going to have a rear section welded on the the buddy club as it comes in 3 sections and have my own rear section made up but I've got a feeling it will still be epic loud lol, I'm not just looking for the cheapest option I'm just seeing if I've got any bits I have that could be of use.

This is the best/most accurate answer you will get.

Custom 2.5'' system. Forget about anything else.

There's always the Buddyclub Spec 4 and their Pro Spec........... At least they've got silencers.......... Or it looks like it anyways!

Custom 2.5" is always good and if you know anyone who can weld it'll bring the price down a bit.

yes ive decided to go custom best way i think that way i get the system to be quiet aswell as being a 2.5 diameter, i would use the buddyclub spec 4 but i want to be able to go on track with it aswell lol.

Ive just had a custom 2.5" made, 0 silencers and its basically straight pipe, its quiet!

where about did you get your made up mate, strainge that yours is a custom system and is quiet and the buddy club spec 2 ha got 1 silencer but is loud as fcuk lol..

Its not even a silencer officially......... They call it a resonator and its only there coz it gave even more power in the mid-range. Not saying its not true but I find it very hard to believe a straight thru system is quiet. Is that been used with the stock intake box......?

well at the moment ive got a ITR air box with a cold air feed but torn between that and a different setup maybe.
