First swiss EK9 (TypeRx) and modding story

Hi JDMjunkies.ch where about in Switzerland are you I am just back from 3 week drive down to Tuscany in Italy spent a few days in a place called Adelboden on the way home. .

thanks guys :)
@ McJazz - sorry for my late reply:
Im from Schaffhausen at the north-top of switzerland near the famous "Rheinfall". Adelboden is a beautiful place too - hope you liked it :D

Yeah it has been a while since i did some mods on the EK9. But finally today i found some time and motivation to install the HOP (Honda Optional Parts) genuine EK9 Antenna block-off plate.

Why? I can't hear the radio anyway while driving, it saves weight and looks smoother than the antenna. And of course you get extra style Points at every meeting for having JDM optional parts installed *lol*
Before:

Lower center console panel removed (For disconnecting the antenna-cable)

Antenna removed:

Cleaned up some old ruber (Bottom cleaned, top not :D)

Will do a complete EK9 photoshooting soon again, before it goes into the wintersleep :)

Also if you want to do this at home i recommand you this great how-to video:

very clean car! good to read a nice honest write up! keep up the good work!

thank's mate :D will try to get a bit more stuff done in future :)

Meanwhile i installed the blockoff-plate the other (right) way *lol* and had it out for another little shooting yesterday:

and here we have another one.. probably "darkened" the edges a bit too much in Photoshop, but on the other hand im really happy what i made out of 5 different illuminated pictures :)

The car is pretty nice, keep it up :)
And it's pretty cool that you can legalize mods in your country. Here we can't even have rhd legally. Not talking about any mods you do, cops will chase you down. :/

oh damn. i always thought we have complicated and hard law here in switzerland compared to other countries. But well - seems like i'll never move to Hungary then :)

So i decided to get the EK9 ready for winter today. But i wanted to do some interieur longshots with my Fish-eye lens in a while now so i decided to get that done first.
Sadly lighting was very bad in my underground garage so my first HDR-Attempt was really bad with a lot of flares, noise, distortion and reflections.. sucks..:

So i tried another picture without HDR, but still not really lucky:

Will definitly get her out next year and try again under better circumstances.. :)

after that i got her ready for winter-sleep:
- Removed negative battery connection:

Sleep well... and see you next year :)

Nice car and a lot of good work. You live in a great place too. We hope to be back over next July going back to the Cambrian in Adelboaden. We usually spend a few days just cruising about the passes etc. Be good to visit Rheinfall too for sure.

@ all: thanks a lot guys. really apprecciate your comments. keeps me motivated to keep the whole thing rollin' :)

beautiful ek9,where do you source all your aftermarket parts ?
thanks mate :D
I have good personal relations to some japanese guys, so they just buy it at the factory or some shops in japan and send it to me. I've owned an import shop a few years ago so i know pretty many japanese parts-manufacturers and tuners. makes it cool to source new stuff :D

Some news from my Project :)
1) Ordered some small parts in Japan.
2) Looking out for some rare and special parts in japan (You'll see :D)
3) Had it out for a calendar-shooting for the Hondaholics.CH calendar, so i got some nice pics once again.

More pictures, wallpapers and news soon, this is only a little preview:
