Hi ive got a boosted b18c4 with racetech turbo kit running 340bhp on standard internals.

Looking into forging the engine but have many questions if anyone could help.

What pistons / conrods to use for 500+bhp applications?

If i bore block out to 81.5mm what would the displacement be ( cc )

What compression ratio do I want?

Will I need to skim the head and fit thicker head gasket to help lower compression?

Best engine builder / tuner for b18c4?

Will it need a base map for run in process?

Best way to reduce turbo / vtec lag?

New to honda so as much information as possible please.

Id like to end up with over 400bhp once forged.

And 500bhp with new turbo set up.

Thanks simon

I like Wiseco pistons. For rods i'd recommend Manley H beam rods.

Thanks guys many new questions added, if anyone can help.

Also im looking to buy pistons and rods next month so as much info on best parts and set ups would be apprciated.

Thanks simon

If your going to spend a bunch of money on this sort of thing you need to do a bit of research before you go jumping in, 500hp on a non sleeved block is pissing in the wind if you ask me, even a 450hp it's a big ask. Sleeve it or keep the hp goals sensible.

Ok well this is why im asking ive forged my old astra but going for higher output ect.

What does sleeving gain / involve to be done ect. Please get me as much info as possible.

Thanks simon

I'm no expert but stronger sleeves should allow you to run higher cylinder pressures when combined with a forged build?
