Whats happening with qualifying etc? or we just going for it :blabla:

We could use my method for qualifying, 3 lap delayed roll off, fastest lap wins. Then you use lobby points to sort the grid for the main race.

I had these two games set up and saved for racing my mates on FM3, worked pretty well.

Lobby points to sort grid? WTF is this :please:

I thought it sorted grid by the car? as in, b500 is infront of b499 etc......

Never done anything like this (qualifying) just went on and ripped it :blabla:

I think what he mean is after you qualified, see who is fastest, the fastest one can cross the line first followed by the second, third etc. Then if you finish the race first, you will have more points than second place, third place etc. Which means you will start first on the next race. (Am I making any sense here at all? LOL)

Anyway, 15 laps of Silverstone o.o sounds nice.

No. It would go by who could pull the fastest lap thus you could start first but finish say 4th cause 3 ppl had faster laps. Atleast that's how I see qualifying working.

Right let me see if i understand:

Qualifying will be 3 flying laps, thus meaning the actual race will be set at 5 laps.......1st lap is warm up and to allow a staggered start at lap 2. Lap 2, 3 and 4 will be timed and lap 5 will be the slow run back to the finish straight.

At this point the quickest lap set on lap 2, 3 and 4 will cross line to finish 1st, then the 2nd person will cross line to finish 2nd...so on so on. THUS sets the starting grid for the next race on live?

The next race is the 15 lap race......and all should be in position?? :woot:

Better state that it would be an advantage to have headset on or at least the voice throught your TV so we can keep this organised throughout :blabla:

CLEAR AS MUD

That makes sense to me but how will the fastest lap give the most lobby points??

It will just give the most lobby points to 1st, 2nd & so on will it not???

Keith you free tonight to go online to try & work this out properly??? So we know how to work this on Sunday:D

I think he's saying stop on the 5th lap and finish in order according to lap time. But you can make it pick a winner by lap time and not who finishes first. Much easier and you'll have the 5th lap to make fast also.

Bingo, this is a seperate time attack style 5 lap race, setup so that fastest lap wins, not first across the line. Delayed roll off means less chance of collisions etc. You are awarded points according to your finishing positions in that particular lobby, so providing no-one else has had a cheeky race in it before we start, then the pole position on the 15 lap race will be awarded to the fastest lap in the previous 5 lap qualifying race.

I'm up for doing it normally and just seeing where you get put on the grid, but if you want to do qualifying (I do) then that is the way to do it. Sounds complicated but it's not that hard once you've set it up as you can save the setup and simply alter the track for the next round. :nice:

I didnt know you got a score/point thingy when on live for your position finished.....learn something new everyday :blinx:

Qualifying makes it more interesting and if anything gets us all chatting and interacting :p

I need a better TV, the resolution and focus on mine is so bad that the lap timer is just a blur!
