Forza 4 vs Gt5!?

I LOVE GT5 the driving is so good on it. if you want to play a fun game then yer i would go for forza but i like to play it so it feels real. the one thing that is so annoying is the crossover to VTEC is pants you can see it in the speed but cant hear much diffrence at all :/

I thought GT5 was better until I played Forza, cars are just so much more realistic, feel better, drive better, the tuning is better, online is better, everything about it is just better :)

Comparing games that are on two completely different consoles is pointless.. Play what you wanna play, enjoy both for what they are.

I'm liking the online system/community on forza 4, people hosting custom user created games based around cruises just general messing around on the track lol there are now car meets on there too, I've noticed honda drags seem to be very common mainly from the american players. Also the amount of dlc they are releasing now has definitely improved, the old vw beetle is finally on the game.

Is everyone defending GT5 deaf? The sounds in that game are absolutely terrible, end of. Whats the point of a driving game where you can make more realistic noises by humming!

Don't tell me that a game can't be good, because sounds are not that realistic. It's like saying richard burns rally or rfactor is ****, because graphs are old. First factor in a racing game for me is the driving feeling, next are the available cars. Of course it's good if you can get crossover that makes you come, but choosing gt over forza is nearly the same like vica versa. Both are good games, we are so much different, it's natural we don't like something.

LOL!

Have to agree, the sounds in GT5, properly disappointing after all the other efforts they have put in to make it as realistic as possible.

Have to agree also with some of other others on here with regards to forza. It does often look like the cars are on hoverboards or something, it's just not quite right!

I like forza with the customization and engine swaps and sound but The tracks in gt5 ar more real. I feel the physics are better in gt5.
The reason why it takes pd so long to deliver dlc is there a small team of 150 people compared to othe companys that have way over 1000+. Nissan is connected with pd that is why there is many nissan. Takes pd 3 months to design 1 car.

The things i hate about GT5 is there are to many version of the same car like you have a eu, us, japan version of one car for example the s2000, mx5, skylines, civic, etc etc. The sounds ar aweful. If you fully tune a car they almost sound like an x1. and when you race online you can hear other peoples car more then yours. The damage is pointless you hit something and it all goes deformed. With no broken bits except for rally cars. Online physics are complety different the offline. You cant flip a car over online but you can offline. Standard cars are cars that have been imported and have been slighty updated to almost look better.

What pisses me off about gt5 is gt academy came out on ps3 few monthes ago. They said once its completed. all cars will be given to the users who golded every event. But comes 4th july and we have to wait another 2 monthes for the cars. 1 car per week. 8 in total. PD really bad with comunicating with there customers and it really pisses everyone off. Every dlc includes a nissan. Like a leaf.

On a good note
I want to get forza 4 but i do not have the money for a xbox right now. And i have to many great friends on ps3. Hopefully one day i will get it. After i get a car and a job. lol

forza 4 owns gt5, you really need to invest in a proper expensive steering wheel like my friend has to get the most out of gt5, and if you do the game is simply sublime, with the controller the game is literally pants

gt5's graphics are marginally better, physics are pretty much non existant on the controller, with the steering wheel the physics are pretty much as good as your gonna get

ive not played forza with a wheel but the controller works well with this game, the game is more aimed at being fun rather than gt5's full simulation, i feel forza has a nice balance between fun and simulation

both games have their good choices of cars to choose, and both have their nice choices of tracks so im gonna call it a draw on this one

sounds, forza wins hands down no question, gt5 cars sound like lawnmowers!

i would say buy both games if you have the choice, but i would take forza everytime cause its far more enjoyable to play for the common gamesplayer as its far easier to play and get into

I have both Forza 4 and GT5. I have to say I do prefer GT5 as I like the simulation aspect of it and the physics are a fair bit better in my opinion. Admittedly I do use the GT5 steering wheel which improves things loads though. I disagree with those who have said that the sounds are crap as well, it really depends on the car. Some have poor sound effects (unfortunately most Hondas), but others are ultra real. Also when you change exhaust systems, the cars exhaust changes note and volume much better than it does in Forza. You do get realistic damage but you have to unlock it by reaching a certain level which is pretty poor to be honest.

I think the big plus point in Forza is the customisation is a bit more fun. I like the engine swap idea although would be even better if you could swap between makes lol
