Just wondered how everyone else's ek9s were for fuel economy
I heard they weren't great but mine seems shocking.
I'm getting just under 250 miles to a tank mixed driving, and last track day I got just 99 miles to a full tank
Sound like something's a miss or is this spot on?
Its decat but that's all I could think would effect it, and even then not this bad.. :nono:

Sounds about right to me. i got just over 250 miles out of mine when i last went to japfest with mixed driving. breathing mods like manifold, intake etc make them less fuel efficient.

Sounds about right. Heard some folk getting over 300? Must be driving like a granny.

250 miles to a tank (40 litres/approx 8 gallons) is 31.25 mpg doesn't seam that bad to me, I got circa 35 mpg with mixed driving on my way to japfest this year, b18 mani exhaust remap, yet to track mine though.

99 miles to a full tank is impressive! when have a full tank i i normally get 250-280 miles. but thats very rare for it to be full.

About the same as my, mine is doing about 440km/275 miles to a tank with mainly 70mph "A road" commute. Works out to 34mpg

That's about right tbh.
My old b18 ek9 would get around 90miles to a tank on track.

Usually get 300-330ish to a full tank taking it easy (b16a2, intake, exhaust, mani, decat). So it is about right for mixed driving :)!

Is it not 45litre tanks on these?

When i first got it I got 225 miles to half a tank steady driving on the a1! Just seems to be getting worse, or my drivings getting worse haha :woot:

From all your figures it's about right then :)
I always thought a b18 was more economical, no idea why!

99 miles for a trackday doesn't seem weird to me. Maybe just a tad on the high side but nothing more.

250 miles on a 45 litre tank does not sound that good to be honest, my DC2 did better with easy driving. Or do you drive spirited often? :D

Fill tank to the top, reset trip meter. Do your normal drive for the week or whatever then fill back up again, clock how many miles you did and how many litres you've just pumped back in. This will tell you your mpg.
I've got a spare lambda sensor should you want to try that but I think it's fine tbh.

Trip from UK to Switzerland my EK9 did something like 9.62 l/100km (which seems to be 24.45 MPG) in highway...

Average speed ~= 180 KM/h :)

EDIT: Still haven't ran it around here with an easy foot on the pedal... So can't help on the average MPG but I hope to manage something around 40 MPG as here I can't really go too fast on these f**ing roads!

70miles/tank on track for me, but im on throttle all the time where possible!

On the road it does mid 30s mpg though?

The track will obviously effect this,

Mine does 30mpg half motorway half back roads and lots of playing, that is with a catback system also

a visit to my girlfriend in cardiff(i live in burton) is a 280 mile round trip, i do it on a full tank and still have about a quarter of a tank left by the time i get home, i dont hit vtec tho

Ive never bothered to check what my MPG is, I just stick £20 of V-power in and repeat when the light comes on. If i was concerned about economy i would have got a blue motion golf.

Il probably miss the economy when i trade for an R34 GTR anyway:nerv:

I get 320-350 miles to a tank, mostly motorway with mixed driving in between. EK9 with B16B, carbon intake, sports cat and Fujitsubo catback.
