Hello, welcome to the forum!

It all depends for what you plan to use your car, daily drive? track only ? daily drive + some track days, let us know. based on that we all can make you a suggestion :nice:

wow mate using those brands is like an insult on a type R hahahaha, glad you have decided to make a change, I say you first decide what is the primary use of the car, street, track or both, then narrow your search on high quality suspensions like, tein, buddy club, Cusco, etc...... they have a wide range of adjustments that can accomodate your needs.

i dont think he has an ek9, prolly an ej6 with a sohc, anyways. yes it depends on what you will be doing, if you just want looks, Tein Basic, if you want shock adjustability and looks/performance, Tein SS, if you dont mind sacrificing ride for even more performace Tein Flex. cusco is nice but tend to ride VERY stiff.

you might actually be happier with koni shocks with ground control coilovers since you can get softer spring rates which will make your ride smoother.

better than all? come on now, dont forget about omni, tein basic's etc...

Well im gonna use it for daily drive....:) Im not planning to use my car for track yet... is there a possible way that I can get better cornering but not really rough on road.? because I always go to the city twice a week and the highway is like my track, it has lots of curves, but its on contruction so it became a rough road and a rough ride for me :( so its kind a street and track use.. :)

ground control (off the shelf spring rates) with koni shocks, its about as soft as you can go and still gain performance. most people who get the GC/koni combo usually do 500lb front 400lb rear though. off the shelf is half that i believe.

i would recommend omni + tein basics, or if you have the money some tein adjustable suspension :nice:

I didnt forget about omni or tein when I said that. There are a few reasons why PIC is better than others- The inside of the shock body is much smoother than others, leading to much longer life and no leaks of the damper oil. Matt Koestner of AMS tuning has used the same set on his integra for 70,000+ miles, street and track, with no leaks or air bubbles. The springs are japanese steel and cold wound, which uses no heat in the spring winding process so the steels internal integrity isnt ruined. Also, all PICs are extensively track tested before they put them on the website, because they are a track oriented suspension company.

Teins SS's are a very street oriented coilover (soft). PIC's spring rates are more for performance.

thats why i recomend them, this guy wants something soft, also why i recomended the off the shelf GC/koni set up.
