Figured it would be good (Hopefully ok, delete if not) to chuck the daily's build thread on here too. I started this over on Fit4track but didn't get around to updating it much.

Here's my 2013 Honda Jazz Si. I'd always loved this shape Jazz and I knew how great they were as daily drivers, so when the car I bought in Japan off the auctions fell through, it seemed like the logical thing to move to (I had bought a Suzuki Lapin SS, but the dealership then went and sold it again for a higher price). Plans for it were always lows, some cool wheels and a few light interior/exterior touches, OEM+ sort of vibe with a bit of track style thrown in.

This photo is mid journey after picking it up, about 2/3 hours into the drive home, it didnt miss a beat.

While I'd been hunting for a car, I'd also been trying to collect Trust/Greddy parts to go on whatever I bought, I figured it would be a nice change to the usual Mugen or Spoon only dress up bits I see. The first few bits to go on were the Trust pads, radiator cap and Grex shift knob.

Next on the agenda was sorting US tails to replace my UK spec ones (Can ship them to the US if someones interested) and debadging the rear. The white just lends itself to the simplicity I think.

I also ended up scoring the OEM Honda Autoglym cleaning kit, the trunk cover and Honda wind deflectors too and got all of those in situ, I think I may look to cut up the spare wheel well plastic to tuck the Autoglym kit neatly in there if I can too.

I'd set to tracking down a full set of checkered mats for the Jazz from Japan. Getting them purchased and over to the UK costed more then I'd planned but honestly I think it was totally worth it.

During the process of finding mats I also ended up stumbling across the wheels I was really aiming for for the Jazz, early spec 16X7 +38 Buddy Club P1's. They looked like they'd need some love but were in solid condition. I'd sat on the fence for ages as to whether I should go 15's or 16's but I think considering the UK's roads, the 16's were definitely the right move.

Alongside purchasing wheels I also managed to score a Fit RS wing, Spoon N1 backbox, Coilovers and a few small parts, including a limited run Greddy steering wheel which I'm super stoked on.

Pt 2 of catching up to current day on the build thread

We jump forward a few months in time and now all of the parts have arrived and are getting installed.

First to go on was wheels (Mostly just because the stock wheels tyres were on their last legs and I had MOT to sort). I ended up going for 205/50/16 Advan ADO8rs's tyres, as I'd heard great things about them and they look so damn good. Surprisingly with stock suspension it didn't look half as bad as I'd expected. I'd got some Advan/Yokohama stencils to spray on too which I'll do when coils go on.

After fitting the wheels my Spoon N1 and the Greddy wheel arrived, fitting the Works bell boss proved more fiddly then I'd expected with the airbag wiring being a faff (It's still a faff), but having the new wheel in makes a world of difference to the space in the drivers seat and feels so much nicer then the thicker stock wheel

Next on the install list was the Spoon N1 backbox, Fit RS spoiler and a new wiper panel that I'd got paint matched and smoothed the plate hole, worlds cleaner on the back now.

We jump forward another few weeks and its finally time to get coilover's on. I'd thought I'd got a solid deal on some barely used YCW coil's, but I didnt realise till a lil while later how they needed more love then I'd been let on, anyways.. it looked a million times better. Also ended up trying the tyre stencils too, which looked great but lasted about a week before the paint came off haha.

Another few weeks passed then some more goods arrived. I'd been on the fence for a while but finally bit the bullet and bought JDM hybrid clears and found some matching reflectors for the rear. Honestly the difference was way bigger then I expected and I love it.

IMG_4006.jpg

At this point I was nearly there with the car exterior wise. I'd been on the fence about bumping spring rates and getting the coils serviced, but the cost of that actually worked out to alot more then purchasing a brand new set of BC Extra low's, so I spoke to Apex performance and we sorted the right drop and rates I needed and got them ordered.

I'd also been keeping an eye out for black surround headlights and a few interior touches. It was just a matter of waiting for them all to turn up really (Took alot longer then expected!)

**Nearly up to date, pt3 incoming

While I was waiting on parts to arrive, I ended up scoring a Hybrid grille off of ebay, I put it up against the car and thought it looked good but thought it would be worlds better being colour matched. I took the opportunity to get the front plate surround smoothed as well. All the small changes making big difference's.

IMG_4297.jpg

Next to arrive were the black headlight's, optional storage pockets, optional sill cover's (I'd been hunting for those for ages) and chrome trim surrounds for the gauge cluster. Slowly collecting all of the OEM options for this thing haha.

Now we're nearly up to date with everything. Last piece of the puzzle to sort was getting the coilover's installed. The install went sooo much smoother and I've got heaps of room to go even lower (can't really go much lower), they ride a million time's better then the old coils too. Pretty much finished on the exterior now

I think thats it pretty much up to date now! Next on the list is sorting a double din headunit out, possibly hunting for some Recaro's and keeping an eye out for any optional extra's I may have missed.

Not bad for a jazz eh!

That looks sooo gangsta. when i saw it a reading jap meet. Look tidy. very different as you rarely see people on our side of the pond modify these,

Looks nice I am on look out for jazz si for a school run. I have seen few modified one in Asia and look really nice

Thanks dude! Can't recommend one enough honestly. Decent amount of well kept Si's popping up fairly often currently. If you have any questions about them, drop me a DM and I'll try help.
