looking to plan a trip over this year with a few mates,

the 787B is heading up the hill climb and mad mike is returning in the RX7.....

honda will also have the new NSX there for a few blasts up the hill.

anyone been last year and can recommend any good places to stay?

I went 2 years ago and it is by far the best car event I have been to in the UK.

I would recommend getting a grandstand pass as it is hard to see the track clearly from the free areas.

With regards to places to stay everyone ramps up the price. I stayed in a travellodge about an hour out.

You will struggle to see everything in a day, Keep an eye out over head too as the red arrows and a euro fighter made an appearance.

Wish I could go this year! Really is amazing!

I stayed last year near bognor regis. I believe it was called Chichester caravan park. Descent prices, 30mins travel from goodwood.
we were so close we used to go in for about 10am (no traffic whatsoever) and when we came out our car was nearer the exit.
Best advice is to do all your driving and motorbike riding in first 2 days when its quiet because the last 2 days are packed!
Wish I was going again this year, its a real family orientated place and the amount of exotic cars and bikes on display was mind blowing.

Oh just forgot, try and get a lap in a helicopter so you get a feel for the size of theplace
