Hey guys need to do a swap on my EK and was thinking about an H23A Breckenridge, you guys think it ill be worth it and if it ill be more difficult than stoping in a B series engine?

if u wanna drop a H series into EK, u will need custom mounts iirc. plus H23A is the non-vtec one with 160bhp as standard?! why not just go for B series?! plus u will get more choices of aftermarket parts with the B.

that whould be a cool swap. but I think a k23 would be a cooler swap

oh right, didnt know u were referring to the JDM engine.....

even tho it got a nice figure as standard, H22A seems to be a more popular choice, u get more choices of aftermarket part to upgrade ur engine.

but i'd still say go for B series, less hassle

can be done, yes.
Is it worth it, not in my eyes.
B or K is the route to take.

Koo thanx for the info, you guys are right. I like run crayons and I'm looking for a light engine, I'm pretty sure the b series are lighter than h series. Thanx again.

A bone stock H23a bluetop pushes 215-220hp 190+ tq on a dyno, you are underestimating Hondas most powerful n/a 4cyl before the s2000. The Euro R and ATR accord H22a considered the top of the H series which is double / triple the price depending... loses to the H23a bluetop. Its common for CTR and ITR owners to swap out the slow and torqueless B18C for a proper H series, whether it's H22 or H23a. Personally after owning all high performing H series engines, ill never go back to h22a and ill always take an h23a. My B20 VTEC does not compete with a stock h23a. Also in 2020, alot people still dont understand the power of H series as it wasnt common / too expensive as youd need a top of the line Prelude or Accord to even consider it, hardly anyone talked about H series in the past because it wasnt common like the D or B series that littered hondas chassis. Obviously by the time people realized h series was superior k series was well seated and it was too late for anyone to really care or research. You can get P13 or PDE H23a for $600 USD / $800 CAD. A regular jdm h22a is the same price, however my choice and perspective is clear on where id go. The H23a bluetop has a longer stroke = more low end torque so you dont have to rev as high to access it, delicious. The ITR or CTR B series would not even come remotely close on straights, no thanks and my B20 vtec ( faster than my old B18C ) is the only excuse id ever go B series again, torque. Other than that, h is what these cars should of came with, B series being the lower variants.
