Hello guys , on a b20Vtec (PR3) head. had an issue where basically the connection that the coolant goes inside the cabin rotted and lost coolant. caught it soon , so I don't believe any harm came to the engine.

But now until I find another solution or part for that , I am going to have to deal with it.
Not sure I will ever add that back but , I was thinking of buying a hose and run it from the coolant port (under vtec solenoid) to the thermostat housing because those are 2 lines that are going there from inside the cabin it ends up there.

So will I have any issues by doing so? could I keep it for an extended period of time untill I find a replacement part or doing some custom solution?

Maybe late but, you can remove the outlet pipe (located near the coolant temp sensor from memory?) using a deep socket as it has a 21mm hex I believe and plug it with the same hex head plugs used for the end of the rocker shafts. Then you just have to weld up the thermostat side or just use a suitable plug/bung.

That’s maybe a little permanent for yourself, just re read your post. Looping the line will be perfectly fine providing there isn’t a kink restricting flow. Ran looped lines for years as a daily without any problems.
