Hello! For as long as I remember my dad told me that the number one car among young males was a honda civic because it was cheap, reliable and could be modded easily. As a 12 year old kid I did not understand him and always preferred the lamborghinis and ferraris. At 16 I recieved a hand me down from my dad to drive, a completely stock honda civic dx from 2003. It was the exact car that I didn't want. It looked bad and It had 260k on it so it drove a little rough. After 2 years of driving it I had saved up enough to get something new. I had a budget of $4ooo and I wanted something that was clean, lowered, and could be boosted. At first I was set on a 240sx because I was still the young kid that thought real wheel drive was the only way to go if you wanted to go fast. After weeks of searching I was coming up short for something in my area. I eventually decided "Ill just get something with low miles that has boost!" And that was when I found my ek hatch. The guy was selling it up in the next state so it was a 4 hour drive but I decided to do it when I found out it was a 1998 Civic dx hatchback, on coilovers, with a DSM 16g turbo pushing 9 psi and it only had 90k miles on it. When I got there, it was just as beutiful as it was in the pics. My mom later said that It looked like I "fell in love" when I saw the car. I talked him down to $4200 and drove it home. Since then I have still been in love, every time I get in the car. I was also suprised to see a whole community online supporting the ek's and it makes me feel good to know that I can ask questions here in the future. Thanks!

Welcome along. Look really tidy. Must admit I was expecting to see a b series under the bonnet not a d!

Nice looking car. Very subtle and tastefull

Thanks for the comments guys! I do have one question. The guy I bought it from only used 92 octane fuel but there is a place in town that has 100 octane. Is it going to make a huge performance difference or should I stick to 92?

Tbh I don't think it's going to make too much of a difference really. Personally I'd stick to the 92 (I'm also cheap as **** though). Haha
