This is an authentic "Race Spec" version of the rare EK9 Civic Type R. Only 40 of these were produced for the JDM market and featured:

No A/C
No ABS
Manual Windows
Lightweight Glass

We have written confirmation from Honda UK as to its authenticity. This EK9 has been lavished with only the best modifications as follows:
Spoon ECU
Spoon Race 4 into 1 Headers
Spoon Rear Silencer
Spoon Throttle Body
Spoon Air Filter with Cold Intake
Spoon Clutch and Lightweight Flywheel
Spoon Springs
Spoon Baffled Sump
Spoon Quickshift
Spoon Rear Strutbrace
Sppon Radiator Cap, Fan Switch and Thermostat
Wilwood Brake Callipers with Yellow Stuff Pads
Goodridge Brake Hoses
Rota 16" Lightweight Alloys
Complete Underside Polyeurethane Bush Kit

As the description says the ek9 race base doesn't have:

No A/C
No ABS
Manual Windows

I really dont know what they mean with lightweight glass? it doesn't look like FAL or any other lightweight glasses replacement to me.

The interior is like any normal EK, this one has a aftermarket steering wheel, aftermarket shift knob and recaro seats, the recaro seats where installed maybe in japan or in the Uk, since the race base, doesn't come with recaro seats!

Photos of how the ek9 race base comes from honda,

The rear strut bar is not factory default.

For what do you plan to use the car? If you plan to use it as a daily drive, forget it, no a/c, no p/w and no abs, SUCKS hehe

Now if you plan to make it a track only car, you should buy it, you just need to add a roll cage and a good suspension and thats it. It has some nice aftermarket parts.

BTW Rota 16" are not light weight wheels! Rota SUCKS!

Cheers Guys! i will give it a miss then as im looking for something to use on a daily basis to replace my current car!

alright mate hello and welcome

i have been looking for an ek9 for ages that one you have found has been for sale for over 7 months, most mint ek9s sell in 2 weeks max, suggests to me that it is a bit over priced and claiming to be somthing it is not, last time i looked it was about £9k much better cars for less money out there mate

i had a deposit on an EK9 but insurance was a joke, got an Integra TR for the time being , getting my 9 next year sometime, fingers crossed,

if you need advice these guys know their stuff

enjoy
