Help choosing turbo parts

I'm sure they all have at minimum a switch for high and low settings.
Your really not going to need to use boost by gear with such low boost for under 300hp on a b18 anyway.
As for actual boost by gear I'm 95% neptune has it. I know fact that s300 hondata has it.
Then most decent boost controllers will do it aswell.

was just thinking of getting the power down without spinning, you reckon sub 300 be fine on good tyres then

how do your boosted cars handle the extra heat? no problems?

Its torque that spins the wheels, that's why I mentioned the b16........:nice:

As for the extra heat, my car was good out on the road and track, couldn't beat on it for as long as a NA car.
At the sprints and hills it would heat up due to double driving.

All I could fit in my car was a alloy half size rad and 13 row oil cooler (CRX engine bays are a lot smaller than EG/EK civics)

Check all my track videos for traction etc. That's all low boost so under 300. Take conditions of the track in mind though, if the track is damp it'll spin up obviously.

This going in a road car I assume? Just a good quality half rad and if you notice high oil temps then throw a small cooler in it.

On the b16b turbo at 0.8bar(280hp) I had full traction through 2nd gear. I had a 4.7 s4c in that aswell so the gears where short. Even on my cruddy old Road tyres they held up perfectly fine, I've found traction only really becomes an issue at like 330+.

Traction is an issue if you want it to be, I've adopted my driving style to suit and I can get the power down reasonably well, also running 225 tyres helps!

As for cooling like the other lads have said, run a decent size rad, mine is a 56mm core. Oil cooler wise I'm on a 25 row with thermo plate.

No heat issues at all on track or on the road with warmup etc.

good to know and yeah it will be a road car, doubt theres much room for a dc2 rad and a turbo in a ek / eg engine bay?

decided to go look at a 9 soon so i duno if it will be the eg or ek that eventually gets boosted, probably leaning more towards the ek

Check all my track videos for traction etc.

where they at, il check them out

I was having undiagnosed suspension issues on the nurburgring lap, along with being a complete fanny.
These are on the old setup (I had a tegiwa dc2 rad so it can fit) . All at 0.5ish bar of boost.
