Help: EK SiR or EK9 headlights?

Man.. I thought I was quite anaal. This is on a whole new level. I don't even know if the EK9 headlights are genuine on my actual EK9. I should probably check ahaa!

nfspeedy: I don't think that's true. Not ALL SiR EK4's have Valeo headlights. A portion of them from Europe have the Valeo Bronze tinted chrome housing and another portion of SiR in Asia had Stanley.

In europe the EK4 was called "VTI" and had always the black hight control motor on the backside of the housing.
With "SiR" I meant the 96-98 JDM EK4 with the 10 digit vin numbers (starting with EK4-100, EK4-110 and EK4-120) They ALL had Headlights came from Valeo! believe it or not. Otherwise give me a vin number from a genuine JDM EK4 SiR 96-98 with stanley headlights an I will check it. Remember they are interchangeable.
99-00 EK4 SiR had Stanley Headlights in facelift configuration (EK4-130 and EK4-140)

cheers

Okay you're probably right. How about the European VTI's? Do they use Valeo or Stanley?

This is hilarious...
I'd assumed when people "upgraded" to EK9 headlights it was because they were projectors compared to traditional reflectors in the EK4 lights or something of that magnitude.

Is it not fair to say they're close enough to the same that nobody really gives a f***?

Its not like one type has been found to be technically inferior is it? Both are world class auto parts OEM manufacturers? "Fake" would seem inappropriate!

Yes, there are two different trims of EK4 in Japan for Si Sedan and SiR hatchback.

Normal Chrome Stanley Headlights:
Si
SiR

Bronze Valeo Headlights:
Si. II
SiR.II

Those Si.II or SiR II come with extra options and equipment such as green tinted glass, alloy wheels, keyless entries etc.

The normal standard EK4 come with chrome housing Stanley headlights like the rest of the EK2 and EK3 except EK9 and EK3 Vi-RS.

Here are some pictures of the Bronze Valeo Headlights:

I brought front end conversion Ek9 1997~ the headlight RHS
Write “HCR-96” and left doesn’t have any word~
