I've taken my gearbox off my rally car it's an s4c from an Ek9, I'm having a close ratio gearkit fitted but the garage that's doing the work upon taking the box apart have said the bolts that hold the crown wheel to the LSD need replacing I've been to local Honda garage and they won't even help find the part without a reg number and as my car is originally an ek3 I don't have a reg number that would suit the box do I need the reg of an Ek9 or would an ek4 vti get me the right parts on there system?????

Or does someone know where I can buy the right parts from new?

Really need urgent help with this guys please help!

Just been on Lings do these look right number 4 on the drawing

Ref 4 on the list

Can anyone confirm if the bolts from a uk ek4 vti would be the same as the JDM Ek9?????????

Gimme a minute I'll check that for you
EDIT - tenz78 was quicker :) jp-carparts is the best for this sort of stuff as you get exploded diagrams of the whole car.
The part number is 90017-P80-J00

So the ones I found are no good?

How do I buy from that site I need these like yesterday or a worse middle of this week!?!?!?

If I was to take that part number
90017-P80-J00
To my local Honda would they be able to get them for me?

Both look the same to me, number 4 in lings picture and number 8 in jp so either :) I've called Honda before giving them the part number from lings and they've found it, could try giving them a ring and reading out both the numbers you got there^

Whether they look the same or not is irrelevant - you can't tell any possible difference just by looking at the crappy diagrams. Just ring your local Honda and give them the part number - if it has been replaced by a more up-to-date part they will be able to tell. jp-carparts just shows you how much we get ripped off here - the part costs USD 3 in Japan (less if you pay in yen!) yet Lings charge over 6 quid per bolt! I've ordered stuff from jp before, they are very helpful but if you need it quick local Honda dealership is your best bet.

With the exact same part description and quantity etc lol but yeah ring up Honda as said and try the part numbers, would be your quickest bet before ordering online. £6 does a bolt hurt a bit though.

Message johnny tegiwa on Facebook. Pretty sure we will have the Honda or arp/mfactory equivelant on the shelf.

Also the bolts will be the same for all b series as the components are all interchangeable. I take these bolts out at work and they often look damaged when they come out but they are not, will torqu up no problem at all

The heads have gotten damaged on a few of them it's the second time they've been off so for peace of mind I'll get 10 new ones not fussed about the cost just wanna make sure I get the right part. To be fair £60 isn't the end of the world for genuine Honda and peace of mind knowing there in the box doing the right job

Quick update on this with some useful info the two part numbers above are exactly the same part the different numbers are for hondas traceability as the numbers denote which supply factory, raw material and machining method they came from this aids honda in event of a recall to find which supplier is at fault. They would usually have one supplier supplying the part that would go into one domestic market, say you in uk the part would be for example A001 the same in Japan would be B001 the difference in letter would not mean the part is different it would simply show honda which factory that part came from.

Also they were £3.12 each from main dealer Honda so it does pay to do a little research

They are left hand thread so possibly they damaged them trying to loosen the wrong way?

I can confirm that these bolts are totally fine to use again providing they are torqued correctly in the right sequence

Spot on then, as expected. Glad it's sorted anyway.

@SPek9
I decided on new ones because the price was next to nothing just added piece of mind
They had been removing them the right way they just look over stretched so at 30 something quid may as well go for new but thanks for all the help and advice everyone

As said left hand thread so could have been damaged if someone has been trying to take them off the wrong way with an air/impact gun.
