Hi guys!
NEED URGENT HELP.

Just rebuilt my ej9.

A 1.4 d14
Tucked and smoothed the engine bay.

Extended the main loom to fuse box wire and fitted a longer battery cable.

Come to start the car after 3 month of stood still and it won't spark. Everything other than that.

Also no green immobiliser light on the dash.

It turns over, it gets fuel but no spark

Anything will be appreciated

I assume it will be down to the wiring that has been done.

Best get the multimeter out and test some wires. Hope you find the problem!

ive been thinking this. ive been advised to check all fuses and they try mulitmetering the extended wires then have alook at the dizzy

I'd start with checking you have 12v at the positive side of the coil.
If you have 12v then check that the distributor is pulsing / collapsing the field.
If you have both ok then it's the coil, I had a similar fault.

im relating them both
but ill check the dizzy tomorrow

Not sure, but you need to find out why you have no spark, if there is no power to the coil you then know that what ever powers it is at fault. IE immobiliser etc
