Well lads :nice:

In process of building a b16 turbo im going to list what i have i would appreciate if ye could help me with the list :nono:

My goal is 280-300bhp Standard internals

Cheers to anyone that helps.

Heres what i have

b16a2 with new headgasket TB Oil pump Water pump and all gaskets inc thermal inlet an tb gaskets. And exhaust mani gasket. Engine has ARP headstuds too :)

I have

* Turbo Kit= Td04 turbo
*Oil feed
*Intercooler
*Exhaust turbo mani but its for d series so just gonna buy a b series one
*downpipe
*Exhaust
*Boost controller
*Sump with oil fitment
* Most of the intercooler pipes :blabla:
*Ecu
*Gearbox
*standard shafts? I presume i will have to upgrade or will that only be if i go over 300?
*Getting an ITR flywheel the weekend along with engine mounts
*ITR inlet mani and tb
*OBX injectors (good for 300bhp as far as i know?)
*Dump valve

What i think i mite need?> (Help Please)

*Oil catch can?
*3 bar map sensor?
*Turbo timer to let engine cool down ( will be getting )
*Stage 3 6 puc clutch to deal with my gear banging
*A base map and a full map for the ecu ( its mapable )

If i am missing anything or you have any advice for me i would appreciate all of it. This will be happening soon and i would prefer to have everything an not be left stuck.

Tdo4 is too small for your goals. Youl need a tdo5.
You will need your sump modified for turbo oil drain.
What size are the injectors? Look at 550cc minimum.
Standard shafts will be ok. Power doesnt break shafts. Torque and grip do.
Nothing about a boost control? Extrernal waste gate or internal waste gate?
Oil catch can always a good idea. Let the motor breathe. Get rid of pcv valve etc.
Turbo timer is a waste of time. Not needed.
6 puck clutch might be abit overkill also. Will be a nightmare in traffic.

Not relevant to the turbo setup but I have a thermal t/b gasket lying around you can buy if you want, it's ITR size £10 posted ?

you may not need a boost controller or a 3bar map sensor either depending on the boost you need to make your 280-300 goal. Properly sized wastegate spring will take care of your boost control
injectors as said 550 minimum really but id spend good money here if it was me, you cant go too big.
dumpvalve isnt needed, i run one of both my cars but strictly speaking they are fine without.
basemap and full tune i can offer you.

Stage 2 clutch would be fine - i ran a Competition one with 380 and it was just about fine so should be spot on for your application.

Standard drive shafts will be fine.

Make sure you have a nice free flowing exhaust - anything JDM JASMA might be restrictive for turbo.

I have some Grams 550CC used injectors for sale which would be perfect for your. Plug and play clips. PM me if interested. :)

The injectors are 410cc so i will get bigger ones.

My sump is modified already :) have that done

Oh cool thought shafts wouldnt be able haha

Oh hondas dont have torque so i be fine hahaha my eg6 broke a shaft when i grabbed second

external as far as i can remember il have to look at what i got cant rightly remember sorry.

Oil catch can getting its feed from where?

I use a 6 puc in my 6 so i am used to it. :run:

Also what do you think i would achive with td04? at a guess lets say

I understand dumpvalve is just for entertainment an technically speaking, is said to cause u to lose power haha. #tuttuuuuu

Will probably go with Vtec6000 man.

Plus you are in england im in Ireland haha.

Also not gonna lie i have never understood how the wastegate spring thing works? Or wastegates at all bit embarased about that.

I know its basically to get rid of boost pressure more efficiently to the atmosphere isnt it? helps the turbo breath or am i completely wrong? open to correction.

Forgot to mention i also have ctr cams and a b18 inlet mani an tb was thinkin a throwin them on for #DEMGAINZ haha :wtf2:

I also have several decent branded exhausts to chose from. Was going to go with the full spoon N1 system?

I'd go for a custom 3" for the extra power, being turbo it won't be that loud either although the n1 is a particularly loud back box. I ran a 3" to a 5zigen fireball with one small silencer on my n/a b18 and it wasnt that bad at all, I seem to find the 2,5" exhausts are actually louder but it could have been down to my back box being pretty big, who knows lol. But yeah do a 3" turbo back and your chosen back box.

Was probably wheel hop that killed the shaft lol!

Catch can getting fed from the black box plus another two added ports on the cam cover.

I dont think anyone has ever put a td04 on a b16. Would have very little lag but would be out of puff top end and strangling the motor. They are a pretty small turbo.
Ive no idea on power figures. 250?

The wastegate bleeds off exhaust gases (so they don't pass through the turbo) to regulate the amount of boost you make. If you didnt have a wastegate (either external or internal - built into the turbo) the boost would be totally uncontrolled (BOOM)!

Using an external wastegate you can run a dumptube (which is like a second tiny exhaust) or have that pipe welded back into the main exhaust system after the turbo.

Make sure you look inside the tubes of what you have. 2.5" would be just about OK but only if it was 2.5" all the way through (straight through). I had a 5zigen system that was 2.5" but internally went down to 1" on one of the silencers. It totally killed what max boost i could make.

A 2.75" (70mm) or 3" custom system would also work great. Like the Skunk2 RR or "cough" my custom one in the for sale section. ;)

Thanks haha ya literally after i posted my reply to you i did some googling :blinx: haha.

An found that max bhp with a td04 on a b16 would be 270 at a push. A big push so around 250 ya so i will be going for a td05.

Surley the cam cover breathers would be overkill? I will do the oil catch can from the black box tho (Breather box u mean i assume?)
