98' EK9 CTR CW
Hey everyone, new to the EK9 life and really my first “enthusiast car”. For reference I drove a run of the mill toyota for most of my life most recently a prius :)

I’ve had it for a month now and I absolutely adore it. It’s a 1998, imported last year around summer. Completely stock(what I wanted), didn’t come with a stereo(think it’s normal for it to be removed before imported).
I actually had to pick this up from Dallas, and drive back down with it and it did it like a champ! Small japanese battery and all.

Some things I’ve started addressing and others I look to once budget and time allow:
  • Squeaky noise from the clutch pedal after some driving, believe that’s the throwout bearing or a slave cylinder.
  • Paint correction and sealant
  • recondition the wheels
  • small leak out of the valve cover or cam seal, seems like a mist haven’t really taken a look to diagnose
  • stickers are cracked
  • small chips/scratch, and stretch marks around the headlights, don’t know about this.
  • some dings
  • seat bolsters, classic!
Otherwise she’s perfect!
Looking forward to interacting with y’all

Did the stickers today, and the difference they make is understated. Used a decent hair dryer some rubbing alcohol and a rubber spatula(:) to get the residue off. Came off super easy. The OEM stickers had the perfect guides and I think they turned out pretty damn good for eyeballing it. Let me know what you guys think
