I'm thinking of installing my new exhaust muffler myself.

Cant seem to find a thorough guide of how to do it and is does anybody know the best place to use axel stands on the civic?

My B-pipe hasnt arrived yet, but is this something I can do at home?

I dont which garage to trust installing the system, dont want a **** installation job!

If anybody has a guide/provide guidance I would really appreciate it.
:nice:
:thanks:

Easy to do yourself.

Use a lot of WD-40 or such like on all the bolts you are removing.

If new bolts are supplied the better, because they can be hard to get off and I have had to, in many cases, angle grind them off.

Axel stands should be used where the name states. The axel.

I have always used them on the big bolt of the suspension arm, because it is nice and flat, the lowest point to really get a good point and it perfectly safe.

You'l know the part I mean once you have jacked the car up and had a look under it.

Other than that, it is easy to change the exhaust. The rubbers might be a bit hard, but you can always grease them before removal and wipe off and excess grease before refitting or cut them off and use new rubbers, which is the choice I prefer.

It makes the whole fitting process quicker, easier and a lot less stressful.

Hope this helps dude!

Also, use exhaust sealant paste on any joins AS WELL as the gaskets provided.

This will give you a much better seal and reduce any chances of a blowing exhaust.

And I always use a dollop of grease, gunk or vasaline type stuff on all the bolts after installation to prevent any rusting of bolts for easy removal later if required.

it is easy to fit mate just a case of taking bolts off, putting new exhaust on with rubbers and putting bolts back on. easiest thing you can do to a car really
