I had a look at the sticker by the drivers side door and found that originally my car came with a staggered set up. 14" front and 15" rear.

At the moment I have 15" on both front and back.

Does anybody know the advantages of using stock set up, having 14 on front and 15 on rear for my ek4?

Thanks

never herd or seen this on a civic. sure u are reading the sticker right i think it will be listing both tyre sizes

This setup is commonly used in japan, for track cars, and is used to reduce understeer :nice:

For a daily drive, I don't see any benefits, only cheaper tires at the front lol :)

Here's a link to the sticker on my car.

So I'm better off sticking with the 15's or it won't make much difference?!
:nice:

Also If anyone can help me translate the sticker further, I'd appreciate that!

i dont understand Jap... tho i guess its giving reading for both 14" & 15"...

e.g: if 195/60/14 use 2.0 front and rear.

if 195/55/15 use 2.2 front 2.1 rear.

does this sound right? or am i making it up...

What I wanted to know was: about the tyre set up, do I have LSD? what does the 4WD mean? 4 wheel drive? (I dont think so )

Anybody help?

That is for the 2 different rims that come on the vehicles. Like for example the base model comes with 14" rims and the SIR comes with 15" rims. They just use the same sticker for both cars to save a little bit of cash. As for the 4WD, I think they probably use that sticker in the CRV also but, I don't think the wheel setup on the CRV would have a 55mm profile tire. Unless they come stock with 14"s but that rim seems to small. 4WD???

Thats correct one of my old motors had the same thing a pressure for 14's or 16's.

About the 4WD thing who knows maybe one of our freinds who speaks japanease can help.
