Jesse888 Forged/stroker turbo ek9

They aren't the complete article yet and I'll get some fitted pics tomorrow

M6x80mm bolt with a good 25washers to space it out lol

I've got some rubber in the garage that would make a perfect spacer also.

Not a bad idea that!
If I've got a spare nut or two that will fit I'll give that a go.
Only needs to work for one day just to save my arches and tyres at brands.

So I had a car day today!
Took b16minis idea of using nuts instead of washers and this is the result.

So this is what it i started with, clearance doesn't look too bad but get the suspension loaded with alittle bit of steering on and it will rub.

Maximum 80mm spacer looks alittle rediculous lol

This is what I settled on.

Then fitted the skirts and splitter(seen better days) to complete the racecar transformation.

How long until some old boy tells you your wing has come loose at the bottom?

The EK9 must have less arch clearance than the DC2.. I ran those wheels and tyres with plenty of room left without rolling or spacing

The spaced front wing looks well on a track car

A small spacer on the front mounting bolt (just under the headlight) actually makes a very big difference compared

This makes more sense really doesn't it.
I'll give that ago aswell if it catches.

Brands hatch prep today.
Was in serious need of toe adjustment, steering wheel off centre and everything from changing camber and having the arms off etc for bush and painting earlier on in the year.

Drives much nicer now!
The wings are growing on me, they might stay lol
Then a quick clean up and loaded with fuel/tools.
Weather still looking dry so I'm hopeful the track has some half decent grip in it.

Do post a video of track day if possible!
Car is looking hungry for a good day out,

Will do. May not manage tomorrow night but will get afew videos out next week.
Might get my brothers GoPro out as a foot cam or something aswell, try something new.

That sounds good pal ,
It's been a right ball ache to get the car the way she is
Now ,
But we'll worth it im sure , looking forward to seeing
Them videos,
All the best leej8.

Id like a trouble free trackday tbh. Always something holding the car back.
Engine
Brakes
Suspension
Wheelbearing
Steering weight
Hoping I've reached the end now lol

Those arches look crazy! Back ones want flaring a bit to match and some kinda return on the wing to body would look sweet

The rear arches are pulled/flared, Matt had this done when he owned it.
This was only meant as a temp measure to get clearance but I quite like crazy tbh lol

Hope the track day goes well with no unexpected delays / problems :nice: and most of all enjoy!

So trackday went well! I'll do a proper update on it mid week with videos etc.
Trouble free 155miles on brands hatch today.
Only a small exhaust leak but new manifold and exhaust system are planned anyway.
Plenty of sideways action to upload, esp early on. Didn't time at all but got majority of laps on go pro so will pull laptimes off that. Not expecting a new PB but I'll bet I wasn't far off and considering the conditions I'm very happy with it.
Met afew new people including a 500hp r32 gtr. Had a small play with that(spits large flames!!)
