Hi all, its been a while since ive posted here been very busy with college and the likes. I just have a few questions and would apprecieate some answers if anyone could help.
First of all I fitted a b16b into my eg9 this last October. I bought a conversion harness for it but when I run it on this it gives me all sorts of problem lights and the rpm guage doesnt work and the worst of it is neither does vtec. So I run it on the original eg9 ecu. I used the eg9 engine loom, injectors and altanator, However it throws out alot of black smoke as if its overfueling even my back bumper is black cause of it. But it burns very little oil e.g i maybe added a half litre between services of 5,000 kms so it confuses me.
Then some of you may remember that I lost reverse not long after my engine change well I changed the box to a 96 spec integra one the box seems lovely but in low revs say below 4,000 changing gears is a little bit sticky and almost on the verge of grinding. I think maybe my linkages themselves are bent or the bushings arent great.
Then to add to this my passenger side engine mount is a bit knackered so im thinking of getting a new one and a torque damper to help this.
Then my last problem is that it hunts up and down on idle say from 1k to 2.5k I changed the inlet manifold gasket when changing engines and throttle body gasket and cleaned the i.a.c.v and throttle boody itself so this also confuses me.
