K swap drive shafts


Ok so I just picked up base dc5 integra driveshafts (32mm IIRC). I understand that I'll need to get the inner shafts swapped around for it to be the right length.. Do I still use a k20 half shaft off an integra/civic (any specific model) for my k24 ek4 civic with eg/dc subframe and ekk2 mounts? (I'm using dc2r subframe w/ ps steering rack and LCA's if it makes any difference..)
 
So can you run standard ep3 driveshafts, just need to swap the outter splines that go into the hub to b seires ones?
 
On my DC2 I'm planning on using EP3 shafts and swapping the outers with the DC2's like said previously. But I am planning on getting some up-rated shafts down the line as I'm unsure how the DC2/EP3 shaft combo will take to some track abuse.

No they are too short, I used RSX type-S driveshafts from the USA... With these shafts you still swap the inner joints so that you have the slightly longer shaft where you need it. The outer CV joints on the RSX shafts will fit 98spec DC2 hubs but you will need to swap the B-series outers onto them if you have the smaller hub with the 32mm hub nut

I know of other people who use 1 DC5 Type-R shaft and 1 EP3 shaft which can also work

The lengths of the shafts are critical
 
What I have on my DC2 is EP3 shafts with the inner cups swapped around (really easy), and then some 32mm (DC2/EK/EG) outer CVs. No issues or vibes at all.

When you say, "some 32mm outer Cv", it is also valid for D-series 32mm outer cv´s + respective D-series knuckle (preferably with 282mm brakes) ?
Is this combination possible: Ep3 shaft, plus d-series 32mm outer cv and knuckle?

I have a set of rebuilt RSX Type-S shafts , ie new racing CV grease and boots, clips etc that were built as a spare set for my K24 DC2

These were proven for 5 years on track with full slicks using an identical set without any failures

available to buy if anyone needs a set
