Hi guys, just after a bit of input - trying to work out a value for my K20 ek9 for insurance purposes (for new agreed value), but you don't often see them up for sale, so don't really have anything to base it off.

Spec is roughly as follows:

Facelift VSM shell, approx 120,000km, 70,000 mile engine. Excellent bodywork with only a few stone chips on the front end. Pretty much spotless everywhere else. Wheels recently refurbished anthracite with new AD08 tyres.

Standard engine (£1000) along with a k-tuned 4-1 swap header (£440) and custom 2.5" exhaust (£400). Custom 3" intake with Blox velocity stack (£150).

M-factory plate LSD (£680 + £90 fitting) and Exedy clutch (£300)

Driveshafts (£300)

K-Pro V4 mapped at RDT (£560 + £380 tuning costs)

Hasport Billet mounts (£450)

DC2 running gear (£300)

K-tuned billet DC5 shifter and race spec cables (£800)

K-tuned conversion wiring (£250)

MeisterR ZetaR coilovers (£675)

Electric PAS conversion (£100)

Fuel, clutch, pas hoses (£150)

Whole car re-bushed with powerflex black series bushes (£300)

Total cost for extra aftermarket parts would be £7325 - not including new oem bits that have been added too.

As a standard car I'd say it was worth £5500-6000 all day long, but unsure as to its value now.

Any input will be much appreciated!
Thanks

IMHO K swap does not actually increase the value THAT much, a very clean car will fetch what - maybe 8k on a good day? Ask yourself how much would you pay for it if you wanted to buy it from someone. I thought the whole point of agreed value was to overcome the potential loss in case of a claim if they tried to fob you off with a general mean market value of the vehicle? So you can say it cost me £13k to buy and build with receipts to prove I want it insured for that amount? Or does in not work that way?

Havent seen any ek sell for 8/9k for years.
a realistic resale would be 7ish.
I would go with 8 to the insurance company though.

8-9 k is what I would insure it for. Doesn't matter if you haven't seen one sell for that or not, it's the value you place on your car. I have my mb6 k20a insured for 8k
