Hi All, been a while since ive posted but ive been offered a K20a engine which has "bottom end knock" for £400, from what i remember k series going for i want to snap it up. However.....

I have the tools to rebuild an engine, but have only ever rebuilt single cyl 2 stroke / 4 stroke engines. Is it that much of a step up?

Also, if i replaced the bottom end bearings would it be worth investing £300 in some eagle rods too? And then some higher cp pistons? Or am i verging on the realm of just going all out into a fully built engine?

I love my ek9 but im craving more power, i don't wanna have to sell it so this has come up perfect for me!

Should i or shouldn't i?

I can guarantee you that k20 needs a crank as well I seen at least 10 k20s that had light knock in bottom end and all needed cranks, they mark the crank very quick once they knock and to answer your question k seires are not that hard a engine to work on if you know what you are doing around engines

If your after a k20, I have a complete swap straight out of a 2004 EP3, yours for £1000
