Knocking sound whilst cornering

Hi all,

Whilst going around a left corner 'sharpish' and apply little throttle i get a clunking sound from the rear passenger side?

This is only whilst the car is cornering those few seconds and any other time it's fine.

Im thinking it could be the wheel bearing? or loose sway bar? :/

Anyone else come across this? I tried googling but to no avail.

Thanks!:nice:

My 9 does this very occasionally... I have checked everything ARB, BUSHES, LINKS, WHEEL BEARING, SHOCKS, MOUNTS ECT ECT ECT and just put it down to how stiff the car is.

That's reassuring. Thanks for the quick reply :)

It's got worse :(

This morning i noticed when accelerating 0-40mph in traffic a faint knocking sound from the same passenger rear that sounds almost like eggs boiling in a saucepan?

Can't really describe it any other way lol that's what it sounds like!

If youve checked evrything. Like realy evrything on the passenger side. It could possibly be your cv joint? Have you tryed driving it in a circle on full lock?

Check your exhaust mounts too. Not impossible one of those has snapped or popped off and the back box is swinging into some body work as you turn.
Other than that just start top down on the suspension and check nothing's loose or snapped. It sounds like a snapped ARB droplink but that's pretty obvious to spot so I'm guessing it's not the case.

Im at work at the moment and noticed this morning, had a quick peek and couldn't see anything out of place but will get the wheel off tonight. Thanks for the help.
