The time has come! I said goodbye to the loud ass exhaust

When i did the swap i had to get myself a decent exhaust as the oem dc2 exhaust would be no good. By chance a 3 inch system from a civic coupe came up for sale with a ktuned turn down only 2 hours from me for 200 quid! BUT its soo loud, so i contacted billy denholm from CAS or freeflow as it was formerly named.

Out with the old!

While we were at it i asked billy to raise the megaphone up and the full system to help with clearance. We also added a 4 inch centre box and a 5x8 rear oval.

I have to say the difference is night and day but now i want to take some more steps to make the car more liveable when out with the family.

Life update with the dc2, since getting the exhaust done i have covered thousands of miles in the car and it hasnt missed a beat. I couldnt be happier with the outcome after getting wrenched in with my mates in the garage. Me and the wife went down to derby for JDMJAM show to watch a round of racinghondas while the dc2 was featured on the obsessions stand.

The car then spent the summer doing daily duties, shopping trips, days out, date nights you name it, we even had a child free day and took the dogs out somewhere nice!

Most recently i took the wife and kids to ireland for the hiro racing all japanese track day, i have raved about their events for years so @RyanSi @Kanjabrer_kyle and a couple other lads saddled up and headed over to meet the boys!

The weekend was one for the books, we did some tourist stuff, ate like kings and lauged the whole trip while getting to look at cool cars and chat with sound people. When we got to mondello ryan and kyle signed on to go out on track but i opted out as i had the family to worry about getting home so didnt want to risk being stranded. I did however go out for the parade lap.

The highlight of the weekend for me was getting some passenger hotlaps in @jackfitz eg civic. What an experience!

After we said our goodbyes it was the tedious drive home, we picked a late ferry which was a mistake as it was pouring down and low visibility the 2.5 hours home from the ferry but we got home safe.

All in the car hasnt missed a beat once and i give full credit to Ryan for keeping me right every step of the way.

The one thing i have neglected in the past year through the whole ordeal was properly detailing my engine bay, im usually really on top of things but with the swap ect and the miles ive put in i havent been the best owner as far as detailing is concerned so i took it to mr freeze in paisley to get it all squared up nicely.

The engine looks badass now with the oxidation on the box and engine gone and 25+ years of grime completely gone! Highly reccomended.
