hey guys,

I've got a bit of a leak into my boot on the RHS... Done both of the rear light seals but its still getting in somewhere.

It puddles up on the 'shelf' bit of the boot floor next to the spare wheel well even when not driven so fairly sure its not coming in via the wheel arch as I've seen some people reporting in other threads.

Any ideas on where else I should be checking?

Thanks in advance!

Check your boot rubber seals for any leaks mate
Also glass seals
Thanks dude, will have a look on the weekend if it stays dry. Never had the rear plastics out before but looks fairly simple, fingers crossed it all comes out and goes back in without a fight!

Should get sorted mate, from what ive gathered boot leaks are a common problem on all ek's

I'd recommend greasing the rear light seals with red rubber grease to help them seal, even if they are new,

Also check the seam sealer around the boot hinges/appature.

It's also worth checking the seal on the vents in the rear panel behind the bumper

Most likely the rear vent seals, as b16 mini mentioned. Same issue with my EK9 and my former EJ6. They only have a light foam seal stuck on the vent piece that pushes against the body and loads of dust/dirt gets up in that area. I've cleaned then reattached with gasket maker/sealant or just made a new seal with butyl cord to fix the problem. You could probably make/use a rubber gasket as well.
