Ep3 only pull 15.1 on quarter mile? Stock ek9 can do that?

I know. Probably not the best time, but i think it`s on a wet track and endless wheel spin. I have an ep3, and am very disappointed by it comparing it to my B18C EK
 
Least they don't call it Vtech, really ****s me off that.

I guess hes sorta right - if you drain all/most the oil = no vtec :nice:
 
Haha lmao they are nippy little things 106 gti lol but not on the same level as type r's lol they think vtec takes days to engage lol but if you set off right you can be in vtec in like 1 or 2 secs

Lag is a term thrown about alot on the interweb and has taken the wrong meaning.

lag isn't the time the turbo takes to start coming in, I.e "I get turbo lag until 3k rpm"
It's the time between the turbo starting to spool and reaching full boost. I.e "my turbo spools at 3k rpm and reaches full boost by 4k rpm" so lag is the 1k rpm difference between seeing boost and reaching full boost,

So obviously a vtec system cannot "lag"

Funny read.... but the one from the Ford forum was a pisser " switch over of oil pressure so techincally not n/a as it has a power enhancing device" :lol:

People have anti-Honda blinkers on. Forgetting that they are comparing a n/a engine to a turbocharged one says it all about vtec tbh
Not going to lie I was once one of these fools when I had my astra, was younger back then and didn't quite understand what was what. Just thought biggest numbers win!
 
I get it all the bloody time off my mates say well bet it wont beat this n this is faster than it but its always turboed i.e. vxrs focus st :blabla: but what they forget is its its only a 1.8 n/a i just laugh n tell them its just a 1.8 n/a n most of them cars are over rated anyhow not many have beaten me lol
 
Tell them to put them cars on the track!
 
How can you compare a 106 to any Honda!?! There so cheap and tatty, Saxo/106 owners all the same
