Well have been off the scene for a while due to some crazy things happening to me this year... 2012 is not a good year for me so far, and we have only hit febuary...

1st thing - GramsN1 bought the ek9, took it out for 1 last little donder, skated on black ice, hit a dyke, plowed through some whin bushes, still having mental nightmares about it, Grams still bought it not sure what he's doing with it yet, was collected yesterday, needs a bumper, wing, light, engine is perfect and had just been serviced for him with fresh oil bit of a low blow for myself as id just got myself out of debt, basically to sum it up, back in debt

2nd - Done by the cops for leaving the scene of an accident and dangerous driving, Got my solictor on the case just awaiting for the letter from the fiscal or being hand delivered by the police... Dont see how avoiding a car accident is dangerous driving but hey ho, lets plod on with life

3rd - Off to carlisle i go to pick up my new car, 2002 106 white gti, 57K on the clock, 2 owners from new, 162bhp with cams, reworked head etc, always had a soft spot for them ever since my nana so seemed a suitable replacement and is a very clean shell... Lasted 2 weeks, bent a valve, head is now in bits

So yes 2012... **** you so far

Poor ek9 :( - Still feel sick to this day looking at these photos, Cant grasp how quick it happened or really remember, just remember fighting with it so much that my forearms were bright red/slightly bruised the next day, suffered a bit of whiplash but nothing major... Feel like a tool to seeing as the car was sold, Live and learn i guess

Pug Time:

2002 White 106 GTI
57K on the clock, just turned 57k as it **** the bed, go you frenchie
The cleanest 106 shell i have ever seen, most of them have been jacked on the jacking points, this one hasnt which is a bit of a shocker for me lol
Every bush on the car is powerflex or poly, bit of a bonus
As mentioned in my top post, its either bent a valve or headgasket has blown... not to sure yet, lost motivation just now as i have so much going on, Will maybe know by saturday-sunday the extent of the damage

Spec:

Newman ph 3 cams (bought new and covered 2k)
DTA s40 ecu (bought new and covered 2k)
Ported and reworked head
Vaux coil pack and plug leads
CDA carbon enclosed air filter
Gaz coilovers
GTi-6 brake set up
Single pipe magnex exhaust (very rare I've only ever seen 2)
Supersprint 4-2-1 manifold (heatwrapped)
Compomotive CXR wheels 15 inch in anthracite wrapped in 4 goodyear eagle f1 tyres (bought new and covered 2k)
Genuine b&m quickshift
Powerflex polybuses allround
Powerflex lower engine mount

Dull one mate, I really feel for you!! :( like you say tho onwards and upwards and you will get yourself sorted!

The Pug is lovely, always had a soft spot for them too! my mate had a dark blue one and it was lovely. You gona rebuild the engine in it then?
 
Ouchhhh. Your 106 on the other hand looks mint. Omg the light looks so mean.

Yeah onwards and upwards, just not looking forward to court but meh, what will happen, happens....

Not sure yet, waiting to see the extent of the damage when we whip the head off it, for all we know it might not have bent a valve, might have just blown the gasket, but i think its more serious, might just get new valves in the head, then get it setup again, but going to be a while :(

Few of my mates are hard on the pug scene and they suspect a few bent valves, im trying to convince myself it isnt but i know deep down its probally something quite serious lol
 
Keep your head high mate. Things will sort themselves out. :)

Never used to be a massive fan of 106gti`s/saxo vts` but went for a spin in a similar specced one to yours. Very quick little car, the pedal box takes a little getting used though! Very impressive little car, looks a minter mate!

Here is some info on the driving charges

According to current legislation, a driver is guilty of Dangerous Driving if:

- The way he or she drives falls far below what would be expected of a competent and careful driver; and
-It would be obvious to a competent and careful driver that driving in that way would be dangerous
 
Basically topher, I had some fud in a clio try overtake me on the inside, which where i live the inside of the road we were on had gravel, the clio went a bit sideways i was watching in the passenger mirror as lets be honest, why would i waste my last £10 of momentum in my tank to blow a 1.2 clio off the road? -__- So i swerved to the opposite side of the road to avoid him hitting me, should of let him hit me now but you dont think like that at the time

That to me mate says you were driving with the upmost care and attention otherwise you would not have known to swerve and he would have hit you..

Yes but he had 3 passengers, i was on my own, After he nearly hit me i stopped in the middle of the road put my hazards on and grabbed him by the jugular, i had actually snapped at this point and was going to leather him, i know... that wasnt the way to go about it but i was so mad that some little scrote had nearly took the side out my car... Cant really remember much from the adrenaline other than booting his car several times... so havent really helped myself :angry:

Should finish that by saying, he drove off, ran over my foot and refused to stop... so i went home, and just sat in the living room and broke down, knew i was in the wrong for getting out but couldnt help it, low and behold the police turn up and thats about it

Isnt looking promising really, sitting on 9 points and a asbo as we speak... 3 for window tints, 3 for 72 in a 60, 3 for 62 in a 50... This is why im having such a rough time as i think my license is gone basically....

AH mate i am truely sorry to hear that. I think you did what alot of us would have done so don't feel to out of place about it..

We all hit low time's at some point dude, you'll pull through.. car's and license are replaceable..... people aren't
 
sooo sorry to hear this mate :( your not having a good year at all :( i myself havent had the best start to the year as unfortinately my dad has taken unwell again so kind of knwo what your going through. Try to look at the positives if you can mate and things wil get better in time. If you need a hand or anything give us a shout im sure me and the other guys on the forum will be more than willing to help out in any we can.

on another note loovvvvee the 106 my mum used to own 2 of them in white and balck when they first came out awesome wee cars. happy driving

i had a little 106 quicksilver before i came back to honda. hated it from the day i bought it. ran it for 3 months and got myself another EJ9 thank god.

best of luck with it though fella. you can make them look pretty tasty, but i disliked how small and delicate everything was.
 
i do like the gti's!

all you can do is bounce back from the bad luck you've had, but trust me, you haven't had it that bad.
 
Awesome little cars the Gti 106 such a sleeper I had one for a while after I sold my dc5 before got my 9

Compression test on the pug - 170 across all 4 cylinders.... hmmm lol
