Hey guys & gals!

Are some of the regulars still here?

I haven't been on for a while things have changed quite a bit this end.

What's been going on? Anything new?

I am currently on M3 And Range Rover Evoque forums... It's strange being on forums an not knowing much about that vehicle... Hondas where easy! Lol

hello there, only recent started checking in on this site again also. seems quieter than before but still active. some big turbo builds have come along which are very impressive. no mad n/a stuff though.

I think maybe everyone learnt from our mistakes going N/A! Lol

What are you in these days?

Do you know what happened to my 9? It's Taxed currently...

Im taking a e46 m3 to the ring this weekend, how would you compare it to a 9 on track?

Embarrassed to say I am yet to get mine on track

Off to the Ring in July...

Good to see you back!

I finally engine swapped and theres loads of turbo builds going on now. But apart from that it's the same old haha.

Hows things?

Linky to build

Not bad bud, feeling old! Lol especially as we have ordered a family car! Lol

Your crankshaft and headstuds are still going in my car.

I have been on here since I bought my first 9 and still think its the best forum about

I have went from the EK9 to, Evo 8, 2 x E46 M3's, Skyline R32, DC5, EP3, ATR and I'm back in an old gen Honda.... 99 RX DC2 track car

All of the other cars I tried were good in their own ways but for me nothing beats the feeling of a stipped out well sorted old gen Honda on the track. I would like to build another RWD car in the future maybe another R32 or S14A but I'm planning to hold onto the Integra

Here you go bud, there a bit of a story behind it all too so I wrote all that up :) http://www.ek9.org/index.php?threads/r1ppus-ej9-build-up.33137/page-29

Haha what did you go for? How's the M3? I remember you putting up a thread about it when you got it, still enjoying it?

Will take a look bud.

So we have ordered a Range Rover Evoque recently and the M3 is slowly taking shape. Just cost soooo much more than the Hondas ever did! Part are very price! Just forked out 2k on an Airbox!

How's the motor going these days? Anything new with it? Been back to the ring?

Ha ha blimey mate been about a bit! I do miss my 9 a bit but the M3 is very good! Just struggling to get rid of some slow speed under steer but I think that's more tyres than anything else... Go a soften the ARB up front a little to help weight transfer!

What did you think of the E46 M3?

Definitely agree on the forum, all the others are a bit sh1t really just don't get that family feeling! Plus I get ignored quote a bit... More on the M3 forums...

The M3's were fantastic to drive but I used mine as daily drivers and didn't manage to get them on track because I had an EK track car at the time for that... really regret not trying them on the track tbh because they are seriously capable with handling mods and weight reduction without touching the engine

The thing that annoys me about the E46 M3 is the things that BMW just didn't get right, head gaskets failing between the cylinders, broken chain guides, broken vanos hub tabs, cracked rear floor, rusty front arches etc... Once all that is sorted there isn't much to worry about to be honest but still annoying for a 40k car

I used the R32 Skyline on track but it didn't have the same feel as a properly sorted Honda for me, I like to be able to rev an NA engine all day and not worry about heat issues with big boost setups but the skyline seemed to get too warm after more than about 8 hard laps. I know that with better cooling that I could have sorted that and still would like to buy another for a weekend car, possible try some drifting events or short time attack style racing or even something like another M3

I'm on my 3rd forged build but this one seems to be going pretty strong!
Always something new going on with my car bud, ground the metal out of the doors yesterday for example lol

Check the build thread if you've got the patience

I had a set of ID 725's that belonged to you at some point in my first engine man. I got them from a forum member, now belong to anothr forum member. Bit of a legacy you've got here lol

Lol im the same. I replied to one of your threads on m3 cutters the other day. The amount of money my m3 has cost me i could have built a caged k20 ek9 lol! I keep thinking about getting a little ek side project!

Yes I know what you mean with issues. My vanos seems ok at the mo. Boot floor and arches has been done, I intend to get vanos and new rod bearings at 100k. I hope mine is ready this year got some suspensions issues that need resolving at the moment which is preventing me from putting it on track.
