hi,
just after purchasing an ek civic
can i have advice on the lowest ek coilover i can get my mits on
not fussed at allllllll on the quality of the coilover as i have bumped my way about in my last little prodject (below) just fine for the past 7 months:lol:

alllllllll i want is lowwwwww!!!

all help would be greatly appreciated

I've just bought some GABS, that go lower then you could ever need, I bought them to replace my TEINS cos I wanted lower. I've got a bad back thou so have decided to keep the TEINS as they are a nicer ride for me

well if all your after is lowness, you may as well get a cheap set of crappy coilovers off ebay and wind them down full! no point wasting money on quality items if your just looking to deck the car, or you could just cut the existing springs?

MeisterR Ultralow goes VERY low, it's nice quality, especially for the money and is not too ex*****ive. This is how low it goes:

i have d2 coilys and they go pretty damn low lol would go lower than needed

I'm curious as to why you guys would want to go so low as to compromise ride quality, handling, and daily drivability?

cus it looks sexy:clap::clap:
And because of your reasoning....it's RICE...
edit: Yeah I think it looks fawkin sexy but it goes against anything performance related which pisses me off...here is my car currently:

its nice to lower your car but to "deck" the car has no positive effect in any situation apart from visual at a car show.

Tein flex also goes very low!

X2. You could pretty much sit the front splitter on the floor if you wound them right down on 15's.

Cusco Zero 2's also go very low and you can adjust the actual shock body in the lower mount.

Anything lower than top of tire in line with arch just looks broken on a honda with decent profile tyres

Stretched tyres and wide wheels can pull off tuck though

Meister R Ultra Low as mentioned, they were designed to basically go as low as physically possible i think lol

its rice to lower your car now? people have to stop throwing that term around
Pay attention....I said it's rice to lower your car excessively to the point where it provides no benefit for handling, lower center of gravity, etc. Most cars that are that low don't handle so well. Look at the Spoon Civic as an example:

Notice a HIGH PERFORMANCE streetable race car isn't low enough to have the tire enveloped by the 1/4 panel. Cars that are lower than that have modified suspension pieces, custom coilovers, and reinforced chassis pieces. So, with that said, it is RICE TO LOWER YOUR CAR TO WHERE IT NEGATIVELY AFFECTS HANDLING AND STREET DRIVABILITY.
EDIT: RICE = anything that doesn't positively affect vehicle performance or is purchased with no other intent but to "look good" or be a "poser"
2nd Edit: Just so we're clear...I like the "dumped" look but I am just trying to make a point. You're not going to enjoy the ride other than the looks...and your suspension pieces, which are hard to repair/replace, are going to wear incredibly fast on you.

I think we all mod our cars to achieve a "personal" style.
Just as we don't all wear the same clothes, we all have different thing we want to achieve and that drive should get some credit.
Granted you may not agree or like that style, but at least it deserve a bit of respect.

One thing to keep in mind as said "STREET DRIVABILITY"
Just because Spoon use 18kg/mm springs on their suspension which is completely unacceptable for street driving, none of us go and call them rice... correct?

If people want to go REALLY LOW, then so be it and that is why I made the SuperLow Coilovers.
If people want to go low and have performance, the Zeta-S / Zeta-R will work just fine.

I just think that certain amount of respect is to be given to anyone willing to spend money, blood, sweat, and tears in order to achieve what they want no matter which end of the scale they are on.

silver ek is tad to high needs to be just above tyre lol not rice to slam a car as said everyone has different styles if everyone kept there cars at one certain height there would be no need for coilovers

meister r or d2 coilovers will be as low as you could go!!

ebay coilovers as mentioned wont go as low as youl want either dude, meister r or d2 will be expensive enough though
