Civic Ferio Vi-RS
Hello everyone.

After selling my EK9 last november, possibly one of the worst decisions I've made, I find myself with another civic. I ended buying a civic ferio vi-rs, some of you might recognise the car from the for sale section.
Darragh, the previous owner, was a pleasure to deal with. Nothing was any trouble and was always willing help where he could.
To say the car is 16 years old, and I bought the car without viewing it, it's in excellent condition with only a few marks/dings here and there.
There are no real plans as yet. I'm just going to sort out a couple of little niggles and pay some attention to the paintwork as it's a little dull.

Work I've carried out so far:
Mot.
New OEM battery.
Adjusted valve clearances, replaced the spark plugs, reset the base idle speed as it was hunting slightly when warm.
Replaced clutch and brake fluid.
Undersealed the arches, sills, floor and behind the rear bumper.
There's still a few bits left to do.

Ferio:

That's a nice Ferio. Decent effort with the underseal and keeping it in good nick.

Cheers buddy. No big plans as yet as I still have my DC5. I'm just going to tidy up a couple of bits, run it through the winter then see what the new year brings.
I'm a big fan of your car collection.

Wow that looks mega clean good buy od love this for a daily car!

Thanks. I'll be in touch should I decide to sell it in the near future.

Looking good, and very clean. Top work M8 .

Thanks guys.

Small update.

The civic is now registered here in the UK, insured, taxed and being used daily. Apart from a few little rattles here and there, the car is faultless.

I also carried out my first today, a carbon elbow for the intake. I doubt it does very much, but it does tidy up the engine bay a little.

I do have a couple of more bits to fit over the next couple weeks.

I think it's time for an update.

I'm not one for writing, so I'll keep it short by listing the work I've carried out over the past few months.

-New exhaust manifold and OEM o2 sensor.

-OEM strut brace fitted, painted pirates black.

-Spacer fitted to the exhaust. The exhaust was knocking and melting the rear lip.

-Replaced the missing front torque mounts.

-Engine oil and OEM filter changed.

-Gearbox oil changed, using MTF3.

-4 x Bridgestone re002's fitted. (195/55r15)

-Rear calipers painted.

-Evo 6 seats fitted, mounted to ek9 rails.

-Wilwood front calipers and pads fitted.

-EK9 steering wheel fitted. Thi has had a retrim in the past.

Mega cool wee car keep the updates coming! would love one of these for myself

you need to drop a B18 back in this, it went like a train round kirkistown when darragh had it! tidy car. :nice:

Thanks mate. I would like to put a b18c or b16b back in it at some stage. I'm going to get suspension and few other bits sorted first then look at swapping the engine.

Pictures in the first post are working again.

Great looking ferio! Are you satisfied with the itr airbox? Want to replace my apexi open air filter with this one. The willwood calipers won't fit a 14inch wheel right?

Thank you.

I've recently changed my intake. I now have the ek mugen one fitted. I managed to get at a reasonable price(ebay), so thought why not. I also had one fitted to my old ek9. They're an excellent intake.

I'm not 100% sure about wheel clearance for the wilwoods. Some 14 inch wheels might fit? Depends on the width, offset and manufacturer. I know 15x6.5 ET40 don't fit. The spoke of the wheel just caught the caliper.

Do you recommend the itr box? Do you still have it?

I had the standard ek airbox fitted, just with the carbon elbow modification. I have since sold the carbon elbow. But the itr airbox is suppose to be a good upgrade over the standard ek airbox, and a cheaper alternative to the mugen. Comptech also over good airbox setup, similar to the standard itr box. I think H-Tune stock, or can hold of, the comptech airbox(icebox).
