Mattyssb's black caged ITB'd K24 EK9

Here's mine:

Pretty much straight back from the box to the firewall. I've run them like that nearly a year with no issues

I can't route my cables like this because my car is LHD and routing my cables like that it will be right where my pedals are..
Im thinking itd better to rout them just like the DC5..

I've just routed my cables through the heater hole, and tbh I don't like the stretching. Mine were previously routed through the smaller round hole to the right of it. I'll take a picture when I've re-routed them. The only reason I re-routed them was to use the ktuned grommet plate, but I'm not sure it's worth it.

I've permanently mounted my shifter now back in that position and the cables are taught but there are no pinched or overall tight points I'm using the ktuned race spec cables weather that makes a difference?
That's routed through the ktuned grommet heater hole too

:angry2:Spent a few hours wring up my switch panel to the relay box and ready to have the start switch and battery live/earth wired up and it's good to go, just need to find a good place to mount the relay box now.

Tried to fit my handbrake too...

:angry2::angry2:

I guess I'll be modifying that then haha

Had had my fuel pressure sensor and the inline adaptor turn up today, got that fitted ready to be wired in

Along with that, my water an oil temp sensors and there adaptor turned up. Because race technology temp sensors only come in M12x1.5
I needed to drill and retap both of them from 1/8npt
The new pillar drill we just got made this super easy :D

Ready to weld that Bung into the sump now, over the weekend.

Mfactory 1.5 way plate diff turn up today aswell
With new bearings

Need to get that and my 5.1 FD into my gearbox this weekend too.

Ooohh thats the diff I'm looking to buy! Where did you end up buying it from?

My cusco RS plated diff has u fortunately died... plated diff is the way to go!

Spent NYE rebuilding my gearbox with a 1.0/1.5 way m factory diff
OEM Honda 5.1 final drive
And complete new bearings and seals

Took a chance with the synchro hubs and gears being in good condition and it paid off, they all look to be in great shape.
Soon see weather that comes back to bite me in the ass haha

Pulled the gearbox out, detachable front panel made this incredible easy! One of my favourite mods for sure! :D

New parts :)

New FD fitted on the new diff.

Started the strip down, fairly straight forward.

Old open diff out

Cleaned up the casing, really nice to find the little magnetic inside the box had barely any metal filling on, backs up my thought about the synchro's

[

New diff fitted, have to you a press to remove the gears and bearing off the FD shaft which I don't have in this garage, will have to take it round to the other one, hopefully sort that today and bang the box back together

I got it from tegiwa on there Boxing Day deal, plated diff is deffo the best! Haha :D

You may of already done it but you need to be sure the clearance is 100% correct on the diff, when I changed from oem bearings to those koyos the clearance was way off, plus the likely difference in the diff' will make a big difference

Ive seen many people change final drives and diffs with out checking or shimming them
