Anyone attending this track day?
Im planning to attend the afternoon 3 hour open pit session, i think i will skip silverstone japfest for this as a lot cheaper and more track time.

When is this on ? And what's the price ? How do I book if I was to go ?

You could come on saturday and book a hotel mate. Or japfest will have camping.

Had a amazing time at rockingham, my car performed faultlessly, very impressed, and had loads of fun!
Was a lot quicker in the corners compare to my first track day, the back end was solid and ive managed to cure my lairyness in the rear.

Heres a list of the mods i ran:
Standard ek9 b16b
Aem v2 intake
AEBS intake manifold
Ngk HT leads
Ngk spark plugs
Buddyclub Spec2 with hi flow cat
Jdm 98 dc2 4-1 manifold
Standard ek9 radiator
Blitz oil temp and pressure gauge
15" Rota Slipstreams with 195 Parada Spec2 all round
Cusco coilovers
Standard ek9 brakes with standard pads
New Goodridge braided brake lines
New HEL braided clutch line
New tegiwa brake stopper
New ATE Typ200 Racing brake fluid
Honda type 2 coolant
Honda Ps fluid
Shell helix fully synthetic 5w40 oil
New Uprated engine mounts
New Energy Suspension bushes along with New oem honda including oem honda rear trailing arm bushes
Skunk2 front and rear camber arms
Front and rear lower brace
Newly rebuilt steering rack

Full car weight with 2 wheels on tyres in the boot.

Thats all i can think of at the top of my head.

Had new geometry and alignment setup
Front camber 1.5
Rear camber 2.0
Toe 0

Future plans are:
Uprated brake pads
Fit my thermostatic oil cooler
Full width radiator
K20 injectors
Fit baffles in sump
225 semi slick tyres all round
Front camber 2.0
Itb's!

Only concerns i had on track were my oil temp reached 130, it wouldnt increase just stayed steady but i backed off let the engine cool down in the pits then went out again. In hindsight i should have had a full width radiator and oil cooler but all in a awesome track day.

I would upload vids but lots of swearing and excitement, i sounded like a twat and dont want to be frowned upon!

Glad you had fun! Don't worry about sounding like an idiot, it's exciting being on track!
Yeah an oil cooler is a must if your catching 130, I'd be inclined to change the oil sooner rather than later aswell.

Thanks for your advice pal, my tuner adviced me against the oil cooler as said it would be overkill and could be damaging to the engine when running it on the street. I shouldnt have listened to him, its been a learning curve though.

Hope all goes well for your track time too pal.

Cool vids thanks for sharing :nice: is it me or is the sound timing out? lol flat out in some corners then downshifting on a straight :D must be the sync

Thanks mate, the videos are are a bit weird as they have been edited, its lost its sound and resolution quality, doesnt do it justice.

Haha sounded like you got a good buzz from it alright!
Car sounds good to , fare play mate .

Definately pal. Whats your plans for shows/track sorted anything yet? I havent booked anything but looking into weekday evening sessions as a lot cheaper.

Another thing i noticed with my car, did a trial by removing my 2 spare wheels in my boot, which obviously improved acceleration but didnt affect handling.
I then went onto removing my rear seats, however this affected the cars handling as it didnt feel as planted. Best combo i found is keeping my rear seats in, i would imagine due to stiffening, hope someone can advice me.
