what are ek9s like on fuel
around tion with a little bit of fun on the noisy pedel?
and whats a motorway run like?
 
Wel I can only speak for my own but I found that on motor way runs I managed 35ish mpg, that was at 60mph though, the way ek9's are geared there's a noticeable difference of mpg between 60 & 70. Around town with frequent use of low gears and acceleration mines terrible.
 
With mixed driving generally around town and over back roads I see a constant 28 mpg which I think is good. It likes VTEC aswell.
 
22 round town and same on the motorway..

however, o2 sensor later, alot better on the motorway now :D
 
not sure what my mpg is but a full tank gets me about 420kilometers . thats 262.5 miles :)

sweet for you!do you do much motor way driving or that cause thats very impressive.. my 420km(262 miles)to a full tank is all town to town driving with no motorway :(vtec here and there ha :drive: .only mods are mugen coilovers, full mugen twinloop exhaust an J's racing intake :)

Got 305 miles from brimmed to having the fuel light on for 5+ miles before.

I've driven mine from guildford to glasgow a few times.
 
I can easily top 300 miles to a tank, not sure what everyone's issue is!
Il fill up tomorrow and reset trip then work out my MPG accurately :)
I barely see VTEC, she's my baby ;)

vtec is peoples issue so ha ;)
 
i understand everyones views.. and even i posted above.

buts let me honest, nobody on this forum bought an ek9 for god damn mpg.

dohc vtec for the mother f*cking win !!!!!!!!!!

I think it sways some people, the fact they can do 35+ mpg with ease, and touch over 40 on a run makes them a cheap car to run :)
 
Average 22mpg ish, car runs rich and a tend to live in vtec :O not bored of it yet, although my wallet is :)
 
I just did 375miles from a full tank till light came on.

Oops mine is a D14 :D
 
There not the best, 65 mph mainly motorway I'm nearly empty off full tank 230 miles (some vtec but not a lot)
 
I barely use my ek9 and when it's out she loves vtec and I see 55 miles to £20, this is why I have a 306 as a daily 72.9 mpg ftw!!

I can actually vouch for this - I recently drove from South to North Wales and back, covered 400 miles and used £50 worth of fuel, which works out to be in the high 40's mpg! Saying that journey consisted of driving around the 60 mph mark most of the time! But hey if you use VTEC then it aint gonna get anywhere near that! :)
