Hello, as a request of a member of the forum, since i got the COMPLETE Mugen exhaust system, I decided to weight and measure the diameter and weight of the Mugen Muffler and the diameter of the tube that joins the whole exhaust with the muffler.

Mugen Muffler Weight:

Hey man I really appreciate you taking your time to weigh and measure that muffler, because I've been debating between this and the Hytech twin loop for a while. This muffler is quite a bit lighter than the hytech version, while being more expensive. So I have a dilemma..
Thanks again!

:nice::nice: how much for the Mugen muffler? :angry2:

If you are thinking of doing any track days you will need this exhaust. It is about the only performance exhaust that will be ok on the noise test.
Dunx

In my country exhaust "noise" doesn't matter lol :woot:

Update:

I have my car now, with this exhaust, the engine sounds cool, and when the vtec kicks in, the sound is cool, but minimum :) I will post a onboard video soon

I found out from king motorsports that the diameter is of the muffler piping is 60mm, or 2.36". HyTech version is 2.5" diameter, for those requiring the larger piping at a sacrafice of a heavier muffler.

Yo rvm would you recommend the mugen exhaust

Yes, if your car is a daily drive. Quiet exhaust and it looks beatiful, right now I'm running a de-cat so the sound was increased but not that much, I can barely hear the difference.

If you plan to use your car for track, I would recommend another lighter exhaust :woot:

I'm so jealous... :( Here this is our worst nightmare. Your are a dead man running noisy exhausts(and of course ANY kind of mod), caps are using their ears to measure desibels...:nerv: That's HORRIBLE!!

Post here what measures do you need, I think I can help you :nice:

I measured my Mugen TL muffler, and it was 60mm at the flange/collector and then shrinks to 57mm about an inch in..... strange..... someone wanna clear that up for me?

Hey

I had the same thing too

When I measured my EK4 Mugen T/L. The flange was only 2.5 (collector) but the piping was smaller.
