I think the ek4 exhaust diameter is a 2.0 and the mugen one has a 60mm diameter, do yes you'll need to modify the stock flange.

THanks

I think so

And can i put another b-pipe, can you give a good b-pipe (no mugen) ?

Hey guys is there any chance somone out there with a mugen twin loop box could measure the length of the actual box?

Its jus as i have a DC2 mugen twin loop box and its to long for my EG6 so im going to shorten it to fit i.e cut the box and loop section to bits and shorten it as i got it at a very good price and cant find 1 to fit an EG6 anywhere and i think the DC2 version has slightly wider internal dia piping throughout for the B18 and as im fittin B18 it should be ideal

Hey

I had the same thing too

When I measured my EK4 Mugen T/L. The flange was only 2.5 (collector) but the piping was smaller.

How much smaller is the pipe compared to the flange from the cat converter?

Is the pipe of the loop itself smaller on yours too?
Or is it perhaps something that only occur on the EK4 version?
Since I don't know if this is for a EK4 or EK9.

Took a pic and marked where I mean. :)

I'm so jealous... :( Here this is our worst nightmare. Your are a dead man running noisy exhausts(and of course ANY kind of mod), caps are using their ears to measure desibels...:nerv: That's HORRIBLE!!

I have this same Mugen exhaust setup and in my country the law is fairly tight when it comes to noise regulations, but this exhaust is very good, if you are just cursing its quiet, but when you punch it and use the top end of the engine range you get the desired noise result.

Have to agree on that, the Twinloop really sounds great in high rpm range.

hey just wondering does anybody know how to get your hands on a mugen twinloop because love the sound from it.think it would be a nice mod

Could anyone with a TL post a pic with a shot underneath towards the rear bumper, please!
Need to check the clearance of the hanger on the TL back box towards the bumper, as mine seems to hit it. :((

Would be much appreciated! Thanks! :)

I know that mine was very close. I'll get a pic tomorrow for ya and stick it on here :nice:

Excuse the poor quality pics, using my phone lol

Thanks ek9ctr!

I realized that my problem is my huge rear bumper bar on my EK4, and how it gets in the way! After seeing how tiny the EK9's bar is, I guess no choice but to remove the rear bumper bar and replace it with a EK9, if possible? Or modify the hangers on the back box of the TL.

Recommendations? :))

Oh well, seems like it has been adjusted by a previous owner when looking closer to it. The hangers doesn't look to be aligned as other TL. I need to take it somewhere I guess to adjust them, and guessing they need to be heated up by a blow torch for easier adjustment. :(

Here is where it hits:
