MUGEN full exhaust system

My mate has a ek9 type r.He has a full mugen system including the 4-1 manifold..The thing is his car is on coilovers and he has wreaked his manifold.He is now looking at getting a 4-2-1??

Not sure but i know someone who may know so will try and find out, but personally i dont think it will cause any issues

depends on the design, a good 4-2-1 will flow better than a 4-1. most real race headers are longtube 4-2-1 like hytech/smsp/RMF you have a lot of options, the one i recomend the most is the vibrant header, its very nice piece and half the price of the ones mentioned above:

you can usually find them for under $500 US.

but wud it not b better to get another 4-1 manifold because mugen has designed the system to run wit a that.

i would get what ever header i wanted to, any well designed header will work with a well designed exhuast.

The loop in the back box will actually help with the low and mid range, and is meant to quiten it down a bit.

I've listened to my friends EG6 B18C, complete MUGEN System and boy it does NOT sound good when your on 2nd cam...

It's like a BaRRRR in very high pitch.

^Thats the first bad thing I've heard about the mugen twin loop. Still, I'm seriously looking into one of those or a hytech twin loop.

It's not a bad thing in terms of performance... but sound? It sounds like an VTi engine trying really hard... I remember how everyone laughed when my friend took off with another friend for a spin. Everyone's reactiion was WTF? LOL! It really sounds like a rice burning box.

i remember rvm saying that the twin loop actually bypasses the second loop at high rpm, that might be why its so loud.

Just to let you know, the Mugen full exaust weight with the twin loop mugen muffler was 65 pounds ... with cat

wouldn't that need some kind of baffle? It's not loud. It's just TERRIBLY High pitched like a TIN CAN. In 1st cam it's quite quiet...
