looks pretty tidy. iv also notice the area you are from is middlesex. is that true?

The plan is mostly to enjoy this car and attend to some track days, My first one may be Blyton Park with a bunch of my old VW friends.

As for what I do to the car, I think it is almost perfect as is but I want to throw a lot of Spoon parts at it, keeping the painted bonnet but perhaps the spoon carbon wing, front splitter, mirrors and the wheels. In the longer term I fancy myself a Spoon big brake kit, steering wheel and maybe a window banner. If you have not already guessed I loved Gran Turismo and that is where the Spoon itch comes from.

I am here to learn everything from the ground up, I have played with old VW's for a very long time and could strip one apart with my eyes closed. But I always had a VTEC itch much to the annoyance of all my friends and work colleagues. I figured if I do not get one now I will never have one.

So far. I feel like I have wasted my time with German sensibility. I am addicted to this car

Ealing. close by. I have a CW EK9 myself.

You aren't far at all, Be good to meet some fellow EK'ers. Any meets that happen locally?

You will have to baby talk me im afraid with these Honda's  What does CW stand for?

championship white. colour of the car. You can see more on my instagram @master_rhodes. do you have instagram?

I am paid on 17th May and was going to order some spoon calipers, I wanted the mono-block style with 300mm discs. Also want to run 15 inch wheels for the semi slicks that are available, plus I would rather a little more sidewall than I would get with a 16.

Found mixed feedback so far as to whether I can fit monoblock's under a 15 inch wheel. I was going to opt for rota slipstream 15x7 ET40. I was thinking the offset could be low enough to clear or if not I could use a small spacer. But would it clear diameter too from the barrel??

Would love to see pictures of anybody who has done this already or hear from someone who has done it, Anybody on this forum?

I did not want to make a specific thread for this yet to avoid annoying people who may have answered this many times

Rather go for something like Rega's or Spoon wheels if you're buying some Spoon calipers.

Then again, i'm poor so what do I know :))

I was wanting to purchase this car...
...let's catch up, i'm local.. near Farnborough.

I plan on SW388 in the future, I can’t find any in 5x114.3 now either. Can only find like 4x100 and stuff lol

Oh right haha yeah totally mate if there are any local meets I’m totally down to convoy with some fellow Honda fans. I work 1 in 2 weekends so I need to be known a bit in advance.

Hit me up if there is anything, not sure if Ace cafe do a Jap night anymore?

I have some used spoon monos with pads if interested pm me mate

Haven’t time for an in depth update, but I got a cracking deal on a new spoon N1 rear section. A friend who has just left Hendy Performance. 1 left on the shelf and nabbed it for 300!

So anyway, fitted that today. I guess you all know about it already but I will give my 2 pence.

Sounds amazing, looks good. But way too loud for about town, was actually painful on my ears after 5 minutes. I’ve had straight piped cars and all sorts and they have been very raspy etc but I’ve not had something quite so “boomy”

Think for city driving I’ll use a sub silencer until I get to a track day where I will remove it

Yes I’m showing off the mint spoon shocks and springs that came on the car!

Anyway I’m currently in talks with Tegiwa imports about a batch of stuff so in a couple weeks I’ll hopefully be cracking on with that

Couple maintenance things to do before I get to that

Exciting stuff is on hold, I thought all I had to do was a lambda sensor and service but today my car threw the air con belt and the PAS belt

When I got home I noticed the tensioner bracket is loose, thought that’s a cheap fix if not free. Then when I kept inspecting I found my crank pulley had a lot of play...rocking back and forth.

It’s going to be an expensive one I guess and put the rest of my plans on hold. Maybe the garage which did the belt last just forgot to tighten everything properly!

Any tips are welcome as it’s all new to me. I figure it’s wheel off and arch liner out and I should be able to get to everything. Any other tips?

Anybody know where I can pick up a woodruff key for the crank pulley? Or does it come with the new one?

I've seen you can buy the key from Tegiwa etc but don't know if it comes with the pulley when you buy one. And yeah, arch liner off job.
