My 98 CW EK9

I could not cope with that haha ocd!

Haha, its never really bothered me. Seems to be a lot more obvious in pictures.

Il maybe see if they can get a closer match with the powdercoat, but I think its only RAL colours they work with.

Not a huge amount to update. Swapped the old coilovers to a set of Meister R and a new set of Skunk2 LCA...made a massive difference to the ride and comfort.

Also had the front bumper and lip sorted due to stone chips and scrapping from being too low, also got the bonnet sorted too.

Had the car at Scottish Car Show which again was a good day.

Again not much of an update but collected the car from winter storage for it's MOT.

This was the view i was greeted with, good to see the car again.

Anyway, purchased a DC2 airbox and pipe, however I'm finding it sits quite poorly and the bottom part of the intake looks to be resting on the chassis leg, is there a way to sort this? I was possibly consider selling this and going for one of the mugen style carbon enclosed intakes with the intake into the void behind the bumper, how do these compare to the DC2 one.

Hi Ross
Thinking of getting one of my sets of wheels refurbished/powder coated.....when you had the OEM wheels powder coated, what colour did you use....was it the RAL 9010? I've read a few threads which suggest this is the closest??
Thanks for any info
Cheers :nice:

Just seen this message sorry.

The powdercoaters didnt give me a RAL Colour as such, it was just branded as "bright white". Its not a million miles off.

Noticed a horrid rattle coming from the car, like a heatshield.

Found these were worn...not bad for being the originals.

The rest of the mounts will be done in due course:

Hi Ross,
Thanks for the reply....I'm going to drop in to the powder coaters and see if they can provide a swatch of RAL 9010 which I think is called 'Off white' and proffer it up to the wheels to check, or I'll take a wheel to them..
I'll let the community know the outcome!
Thanks again :nice:
